Add possibility to change default webmail.<domain> subdomain to custom
At the moment by default any webmail interface is under domain webmail.<domain>
Some people would like to use custom one. For me personally it's important to have this as server-wide setting (I have basic workaround for this - custom domainWebmail.php), but it isn't perfect (many links to webmail service missing, e.t.c.).
And that's why we have plesk - user friendly interface.
As UserVoice staff cleaned up the most of twisted voices, I’ve returning this suggestion to open discussion.
Everyone, please continue voting for this feature if you consider it important.
I came across this while deploying a server certificate whilst migrating to Plesk server, actually I have my certificate subject configured for mail.domain.tld, and Plesk now requires me to order a new certificate with Subject Alternative Name of webmail.domain.tld... thanks for the additional expense, guys.
It is absolutely required to have this functionality in plesk, some companies block "webmail" urls and then nobody can ever use plesk server webail.domain.com

It is vital! I will consider changing server provider to be able to use cpanel
make it a functionality on new release on Plesk so that user / admin can amend it easilly
It will make much more sense to support both webmail and mail which allow users to use either one. The other reason being that the mail service runs on the same mail server at most of deployment.

In my opinion beeing able to customize something is (almost) every time a good thing. Because we can increase the customers experience. In this case it would be nice to be able to translate "webmail" to whatever fits the ISPs or customers corporate identity. Whether it would be "my-mail.sld.tld", "m.sld.tld" or "webmail-translated-into-the-customers-native-lang.sld.tld". On the other hand I'd like to emphasize the impact on certificates (as mentioned already by other commentors). Most likely SSL will have a tremendous market share in the near future due to the fact that the value of privacy/security increases more and more.
OH... The idiocy of the Admins question...
There are over 10 pages of people asking for this on this site according to Google:
Why should the sub-domain be forced to webmail?
The purpose of Plesk to t allow the administrator to easily manage their server. These sorts of choices should not be hard-coded.
I would be a good Idea to be able to change webmail URL via Plesk, not using workaround https://support.plesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/213947325-How-to-set-up-an-access-to-webmail-over-mail-example-com
Not being able to set is causing us to have to rethink using plesk and virtuoso. We have customers how have a domain of mysite.genericdomain.com which has a wildcard cert for *.genericdomain.com. As a result, when plesk prepends webmail. to mysite.genericdomain.com certificate errors occur. Thus if we could set it, we could do webmail-mysite.genericdomain.com whch would work if we could set this value. I'm not understanding why this hasn't been taken care of already
This would save a bit in certificate costs.
