log file rotation customisation

IP anonymization in log files was implemented in Plesk Onyx 17.8 in scope of GDPR compatibility.

Hi Christian,
It makes sense for you to post separate request for pre- and post- processing and also for IP anonymization. We have heard couple times for IP anonymization request from European customers but either everyone have it worked around already or it is not too strict requirement. We don't see much pressure about it while most of our customers are from Europe.

Actually I am looking for an option to put in prerotate and postrotate commands.
This would help to introduce anonymization of log files.
If this is to complex or to error-prone I'd prefer an option to switch on anonymization
by ticking a checkbox and an advanced optinon to control
how many bytes of a logged ip address should be set to zero...By the way I wonder why nobody else here from Europe is asking for such a kind of feature.
We have a very strict data privacy act here in Europe and there should be a great demand
for such a feature....Thank you once again for your response!

I like this suggestion! Including prerotate- and postrotate-script options!
So I could integrate log anonymization - at least while rotating the logs....
