  1. More descriptive Action Log for WordPress Toolkit

Make Action Log more descriptive for actions such the ones in WordPress Toolkit.

I.E.: Actions are registered like the installation with full information like for example the version of the product however, when it gets updated, the versions are not shown anymore neither initial and final.

WordPress Toolkit v5.4 now includes site logs for each WordPress installation. These logs contain info about important WordPress Toolkit actions performed on a site, so I’m closing this request as completed.

Note: we still need to add a number of other actions to the log, and this is something we’re already working on in scope of upcoming WPT v5.5 release. A separate interface for viewing log files will also be included.

Let us know if you have any questions or feedback.

  2. Ability to permanently remove broken WordPress instances in WordPress Toolkit Installation list

WordPress Instances which are not in used and considered as "broken" should be removable in WordPress Toolkit without changing wp-config.php

Starting with WordPress Toolkit v5.9.2, permanent detachment is available. Once you detach a site from WordPress Toolkit, it stays detached forever. If you need to make a detached site visible to WordPress Toolkit again, remove the .wp-toolkit-ignore file from the site's home directory and run Scan.

  3. Modify the email sent when a new WordPress site is created

We need to modify the email that is sent to customers, when a new WordPress site is created. I am attaching an example of the email:

    https://<site>/wordpress

You can log in to the administrator account with the following information:

    Username: created_user
Password: The password you chose during installation.
    Log in here: https://<site>/wordpress/wp-login.php

  4. Ask for confirmation when click on "Install Wordpress"'s button.

On a website that's already installed with Wordpress the button to Install Wordpress still appears and sometimes when you misclick, another installation of wordpress starts.

Please add an option/or directly Ask for confirmation when clicking on "Install Wordpress" because of a mis-click, once the installation starts there is no way to stop it, and it installs on the same website that has already Wordpress installed.

  5. Add the possibility to define which theme will be set by default after the WordPress installation

For example when we add the required theme into the WordPress set, after the installation the "Twenty Twenty" theme will be set as default.

Please add the possibility to define which theme will be set by default after the WordPress installation as via the CLI method as via Plesk GUI.

The CLI method is important here because some customers use only this method for a WordPress installation.

We have released this feature in WPT 5.2 update. You can use GUI or CLI to choose a theme that should be activated upon the installation of a set.

CLI command example: plesk ext wp-toolkit —sets -operation activate-theme -set-id ID -theme-id THEME_ID
If you’re using GUI, go to Sets and click on “+ Add Themes” button next to the corresponding theme.

Let us know on our forum (talk.plesk.com) if you encounter any issues.

  6. Translation of WordPress Toolkit 2.0

The new features of the WP-Toolkit are awesome. But I am missing localization. Insise the system every button and explaining texts are only in english.

It would be nice to provide translations (e.g. in german) as at the moment it is a mix up of translated and untranslated content inside the tool.

  7. Add an option to unlink a site from WordPress Toolkit list.

Hi. I have about 50 sites on my Plesk server. Some are Wordpress sites developed outside this server and uploaded after development ended. Once I scan the server, all Wordpress sites are added to the WordPress Toolkit list.
The problem is not all customers are paying for regular bases maintenance so I don't want their website to be on my WordPress Toolkit list.
Now I can't unlink any of the sites in the list.

  8. Search & Replace for Wordpress websites

This is highly desirable and basic feature.
When ever user enters "Hosting Settings" and changes the domain, Plesk will detect if a wordpress website is installed, if this domain has wordpress installed - a pop up will show up asking "Would you like to run Search and Replace in the database for the new domain?"

User will thick V and confirm.
Then a new pop up will show up showing:

    1. Creating restore point
    2. Running search and replace.

This feature will save a lot of Hosts the problem with customers / developers changing the domain and not figuring up why the…

Starting with WPT 4.6, WordPress administrators can automatically update their website URL in the WordPress database and wp-config.php file based on the actual current URL. This procedure is particularly useful after migrating a website from a different location like your local workstation. The Update Site URL feature is available in the “hamburger” (context drop-down menu) on a WordPress site card.

If you have feedback on this feature, let us know at our forum (https://talk.plesk.com) or other communication channels.

  9. Manage Wordpress updates, themes and pluging via CLI

It is only possible to install a new WordPress instance with such options:
    https://docs.plesk.com/en-US/obsidian/cli-linux/using-command-line-utilities/wptoolkit-wordpress-toolkit.78685/

    For example:
    plesk ext wp-toolkit --install -domain-name <domain> -auto-updates true -plugins-auto-updates true -themes-auto-updates true

The other way is to manage it via Plesk GUI for existing domains:
    https://support.plesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115002224733

Please add a feature to manage all updates for existing wordpress domains via SSH/WP-CLI

  11. Ability to add sets to existing WordPress instance via Toolkit

It would be great to have the ability to add sets to existing WordPress instance via Toolkit. On most occasions when we place an existing WordPress site under management have have a pre defined set of plugins we install. These need to be installed one at a time or via script. A number of developers have also expressed ability to install their own sets to an existing WordPress instance.

WordPress Toolkit v2.0 installs WordPress directly from wordpress.org and provides you with a selection of all languages supported by WordPress.

WordPress Toolkit will be updated to v2.0 automatically if you have the previous version of WordPress Toolkit installed.

To install WordPress in Hebrew, open WordPress Toolkit on a subscription, click Install > Custom and select Hebrew under Interface Language. Note that Hebrew is spelled in Hebrew characters, not the latin ones.

  15. Customize Quick installation of Wordpress

It would be great to add ability to customize Quick installation settings of Wordpress. For example, currently it is not possible to change installation path in case of Quick installation option is selected. However it maybe required to modify the path without customizing other options (such as Administrative access credentials, main configuration etc), Having ability to modify default quick installation settings would be a nice tool, which make it easier to use WordPress for end-users.

  16. Wordpress Update-Notification E-Mails - adjust Mail Frequency

As lot of our Customers / Reseller complain abaut the Daily sent Wordpress Update Mails - it would be important if we could change the Frequency of the Mails ... so we could say send them once per week ...

We know that we can disable them completely - but that's not an option - as it's important to urge Customers to upgrade their WP installations ... but E-Mail every day is too much! ;-)

    Thank you

  17. Add possibility for Detach button in WordPress Toolkit, that it can check and remove records for non-existed WP instance from the WordPress

At the moment the situation is following:

    I scenario

The WordPress instance is installed in the /var/www/vhosts/example.com/httpdocs/old/ directory.
If the mentioned directory was manually removed from the server-side and the Detach button was pressed after in Domains > example.com > WordPress, the leftovers of the non-existed WordPress instance still can be found in WordPress SQLite database /usr/local/psa/var/modules/wp-toolkit/wp-toolkit.sqlite3

    II scenario

The WordPress instance is installed in the /var/www/vhosts/example.com/httpdocs/old/ directory and files from this directory were manually moved to /var/www/vhosts/example.com/httpdocs/.
The Detach button was pressed after in Domains > example.com > WordPress, however the leftovers from the WordPress instance that currently is…

  18. 1 Click install wordpress core files

    Hi,

A must have feature would be to have a button to 1 click install wordpress core files.

Lets say you got a wordpress site with wordpress 4.9.
This wordpress got hacked, you got tons of files infected in wordpress core.
In one click wp toolkit can replace all website's cores files with fresh ones.

That would help handling with hacked websites in a matter of minutes, instead of doing it manually.

  19. Allow changing additional wp-cron task settings

When "Disable wp-cron.php option" is enabled, it is possible to customize only task's execution time, or it will be re-created with the default settings (details: https://docs.plesk.com/en-US/obsidian/administrator-guide/73391/#setting-up-a-regular-run-of-wp-cron-php).

Add an option to customize other wp-cron.php task's properties (description, send notifications or not, etc).
