add an SPF record to the DNS template
SPF information is so far entered through the TXT record. Adding the emerging new SPF record would make sense.
45 votesThank you for your input! We do not plan for adding support of SPF record as a resource record (RR).
[...] 3.1. DNS Resource Records SPF records MUST be published as a DNS TXT (type 16) Resource Record (RR) [RFC1035] only. The character content of the record is encoded as [US-ASCII]. Use of alternative DNS RR types was supported in SPF's experimental phase but has been discontinued. [...]

Integrate ***** DNS extension with cPanel dnsonly
cPanel uses Bind by default, same as Plesk, and ***** DNS manager extension already allows working with remote Bind installations.
It would be great if the extension gets improved to be able to synchronize changes to a cPanel dnsonly servers.
This is the main feature that could help cPanel clients like ourselves, test and enjoy the features Plesk Onyx provides, without having to consider creating a new set of DNS servers.

Restoring the default values for DNS + DomainKey
When you make a restore of the default values for the DNS for a domain, it is verry annoying that some special DNS records are erased in the same time. Exemple the code for DOmainKey that need to go back in the mail setting, disable and re-enable this fonction at each time.

Make customising DNS/MX records far clearer and easier!
New to Plesk. Understanding how to set up previously existing DNS customisations on a per domain level is next to impossible! Quite frustrating that something so basic is either hidden away in some obscure place or does not exist at all. The interface needs to be far more intuitive. Perhaps have a "simple view" view and a "full view" option, so we can use all the bells and whistles if we need/want to, but can avoid the distraction is we don't.

DNS recursion for specific IP list
It would be helpful to add support for recursion for just some IPs so the server can be used as part of an intranet (for example) and still resolve external domains (google, etc)

Show DNS explicitly for users
As a new user in Parallels (the Locaweb), I not found the DNS value to insert into Registro.br (brazilian domain's register), so I guess this information, DNS mine, should be explicitly shown to me ... Because I had to call the Locaweb to question them.

Show DNS zone settings to the customer without giving the ability to change it.
Currently, disabling DNS settings permission hides DNS menu. It would be better instead for the customer to be able to check their current settings without being able to change them.

Support for Load-Balancers (Hosting Company Structure)
Add the possibility for Load Balancers to detect on what Server a domain is hosted.
This would make it possible to use Load Balancers without heavy API Integrations and headaches.

Ability for additional settings for Plesk DNS
Plesk overrides additional settings in /etc/named.conf on server-wide level and on zone level.
So, it would be great to have the ability to configure additional settings via GUI to be applied correctly,The general use case that there is no need to constantly sync zones between master and slaves. The constant sync requests increase the load on the server like DDOS.
We tried to workaround the issue using notify directive, however, it is being overwritten if modify some dns setting from Plesk.

System IP Address
In the IP address manager, I am able to distribute an IP address as Shared or Dedicated. In my case, I don't want that my main IP and the both IPs for my nameservers are used by customer subscriptions. So what I want to suggest is that I can distribute an IP address as "System IP", so it can't be used by subscriptions.

DNS Views available by plesk
Some users like me, likely have a server in an internal network (192.168.x.0, for example). I know how to configure bind to resolve internally and externally my domains, implementing views. In one of the views that will only be avilable for internals, the domain will resolve only an internal ip, and in the other view it will resolve the public IP. This is a feature that webmin/virtualmin supports from not far ago. I'm migrating everything to a new server and I decided to install plesk to create the same environment than in our production server, in OVH. I've set the…

Slave DNS using other PLESK Servers
I have multiple plesk servers. It would be awesome if you could provide a control panel (DNS) switch to allow the secondary (other plesk server) to become the slave to the original DNS.
The Extension that is offered requires extensive adjustments to bind on the slave server. We're not that Linux savvy.

Thank you for your input. Could you please clarify why current lenght of input boxes of DNS records edit is not enough? Do you have any convincing examples when it may require longer input boxes?

DNS access for domain from SSL Certificate Registration
When registering a new SSL certificate using Let's Encrypt, is there no way you can give access to add the challenge TXT record on the DNS directly from the SSL form providing the Chalenge key. Having to have more than one form open one on domains and the other on the website config is crazy. it will just make life so much easier.

Set MX priority 100 or customize to any value
Possbility to add MX record with priority 100 but plesk allows only to select priorities from 0 to 50. For example to enable mail server to work properly at the OVH they require the configuration to priority 100
