  1. Under Users, add "Admin Tools & Settings" to "Open Sessions Management" to “Security Access View Active Sessions” to logoff inactive users.

Presently, if a session is interrupted, admins have no way to end an inactive user. Some times I get this:

"Warning: Another user with the same username ([shows user name here]) is already logged in to Plesk."

Please consider this fix for Plesk Obsidian 18.0.39

Add under Users, (or at least in the main panels somewhere), a button to allow "Admin Tools & Settings" to "Open Sessions Management" to allow “Security Access" to be able a "View of Active Sessions” to be able to also click a button to logoff any inactive users. A "Logoff Inactive Users" button should be…

  2. SSL settings per plan restriction

Hi it would be nice to have in plan permission settings, to disable access to SSL (both those from extensions as well as LetsEncrypt) Settings for Hosting Plan, not user as it was sugested. Exactly the same way it has been done with SiteJet Builder.

I have some customers who are non-technical, so less options in the Panel then better for them.

  3. Add method to REST API to manage domain default DNS zone settings (for DNS TTL management)

Currently when using the REST API to get the DNS records of a domain, no TTL values are returned for records unless their TTL values have been changed by the user manually. That's because (by default) DNS records inherit their TTL values from the default DNS zone settings of a domain. However these default DNS zone settings cannot be viewed or managed by the Rest API. Meaning that the default TTL values for DNS records can be viewed using the REST API.

Resulting in a deficiency for users who want to use the REST API to properly manage DNS records.

  5. Disable Plesk toast notifications

When backups are created manually a Toaster notification is shown. This also applies when creating backups via CLI or API. In case multiple backups are run via CLI or API (for example overnight) the next time an Admin logs into Plesk he gets flooded with Toaster notification.

It would be nice to have an option to disable Toaster notifications for backups.

  7. Display full cronjob output when running cronjob manually in Plesk

Currently when manually starting a scheduled task in Plesk the script/command output is cut off when the output is long. It would be helpful if the full output could be displayed. That would make debug for example much easier.

  9. Preset the option to block XML-RPC requests for new WordPress installations

    Hello!
It would be nice to have a feature where one can select XML-RPC to be blocked for all newly installed WordPress websites installed via the WordPress Toolkit in Plesk.
At the moment, only the option to preset disabled wp-cron.php is available, but no such option is present for blocking requests to XML-RPC.
The customers never use it, but also do not block it from their end and it is a hassle to do it manually for every new WP site.
Would it be possible to add such a feature to the WP Toolkit settings?

  11. Allow to preselect a different language for Awstats per domain

    Hi,

It is difficult to select a language in awstats. Can we build a nice menu for in every domain that is hosted on the server to select a language that we all want to have for that particulair domain.

    Kind of regards,
    Edward

  12. Direct Purcahse from Plesk

Please allow direct purchase from Plesk instead of from Resellers. Resellers are interested in making profit than giving class support.
Tech support from Plesk is wonderful as compare to Resellers Support.
We believe company who has developed product is more concern with reputation of the product & service. Person who just act as a middle man (Reseller) are not connected with reputation and goodwill of the services/product.

  13. Plesk Backup & Restore IV - protocol functionality

    Plesk Backup & Restore IV

I personally think it's better to save all backup logs in a MariaDB / mySQL database table so that I can search for problems there later. So searchable logs with timestamps and users per domain / all domains, sometimes also by topic such as "email" / "database" / "files" / "configuration"

  14. Plesk Backup & Restore III - Wrong Option

The output during import in any combination whether "database only", "files only", "configuration only" is really insufficient, no information is passed on, e.g. the individual steps mentioned above, when importing a "domain" the domains all run as above, but for which task and how far the individual task is completely missing. Perhaps the old progress bar should be kept and another one should be shown where the individual steps are carried out, the more details the better.

At the end after the import, unfortunately you can only see the "date and time" and not what was imported at all. I'm…

  15. Plesk Backup & Restore Part II

    Plesk Backup & Restore

In my opinion, it makes no sense to import a backup where the software only "Only the configuration of the selected objects" means that if you click the wrong button, the database data can no longer be imported.

The databases have to be deleted manually in order to then select the correct setting "Configuration and contents of the selected objects". There is no setting to "Overwrite configuration and contents".

  16. Please Provide Better Notification Capabilities

Plesk needs a full featured notification solution, so users can customize what notifications they want to see, from whatever service is running on Plesk. For example the Plesk backups only allow for notification if the backup fails. Why not have a notification for either situation, success or failure. This is what I am referring to when I say the notifications need to be more robust.

  18. Nginx-only hostings (without Apache component installed on Plesk)

    Hi,
It seems some Plesk users would like to have the ability to install Plesk without the Apache component (apache-free, nginx-only setup).
We do not clearly understand cases when it is required. Why using "Nginx-Only Hosting" (https://docs.plesk.com/en-US/obsidian/customer-guide/72320/#nginx-only-hosting) on a per-website base is not an option (which also provides more flexibility)? Could you please let us know how this feature should work in terms of workflow, in your opinion? We welcome any feedback and would be happy to receive examples to investigate the question in more detail.

  19. Webhook-URL should respond with a 405 HTTP response

The Git plugin does a great job in creating Webhook-URLs. If the Webhook is opened from a browser e.g. a GET request the service responses with HTTP-Status 404. A proper response would 405 Method not allowed.

    Rationale:
It would make it possible to test if the generated URL and the service is working.

Currently my hoster has an configuration issue in Plesk, also GItHub shows a 404 response but it is not possible for me to distinguish between a bonafide hoster problem (configuration) or a Plesk problem wrong URL generated.

  20. Hidden Primary DNS without NS RR

in Plesk it is impossible to configure the SOA Primary Nameserver without a NS RR.

The SOA template should support Hidden Primary NameServer and the Zone file generation should always use the Hidden Primary NameServer in the Domain SOA entry.

    Example:
    @ IN SOA ns1.hidden-primary.tld ...
    ...
    domain.tld. IN NS ns1.secondary.tld.
    domain.tld. IN NS ns2.secondary.tld.

Thank you for your suggestion. To be able to evaluate your suggestion we'd like to know more about the possible use case(s). Can you provide us with some scenarios in which you need to configure the SOA without a Nameserver RR? What limitation are you currently experiencing due the fact that a NS RR is required?
