1. Don't copy default website to website doc root, use Apache's No Index location instead

   Currently when a website is created Plesk copies the default website files to the document root for that website.

   This has two issues in my opinion: 1 the user has to delete those files to start (not a big issue but would be nice if they didn't have to go through that step), and 2 when they delete those files they then get the default Apache2 Test Page, which at this point defeats the point of having default website files copied.

   I believe a better solution would be to change the No Index Apache location to a location that Plesk manages e.g. where it currently stores the default website files.

   This would make things seem a little cleaner and just a little more straightforward for new users setting up their first website.

2. separation of subscription locking and syncing with service plans

   Hello,

   currently any change done to subscriptions using customize will result in causing the subscription to lock and need resyncing. The only two buttons to save customizations are "apply and lock" and "update and lock".

   The change you make might affect just one area like the renewal date however the whole subscription is marked as locked. If you unlock and sync all customizations made through other areas of the subscription are removed, including custom php directives, php memory_limit, and other configuration settings that are important to keep so that the customer's subscription will keep their websites working.

   As it currently stands, after first modification of the renewal date for example we end up having all subscriptions locked and unsynced therefore we can't automate bulk changes in subscription plans like increasing HDD space, or mailbox limits.

   If we manually resync the subscriptions, we lose all customizations that are mission critical for the customers. So we either have to work through every subscription one by one adjusting or we have to work through every subscription and notice all specific directives that are important to the customer and then reimplement them after sync.

   That's tedious,time consuming and prone to errors.

   Simple example,
   1. create a service plan using 256MB as memorylimit for php and assign it to a subscription
   2. go to the subscription -> domain panel
   3. click on php settings icon
   4. add a php directive like memorylimit = 1G and save
   4a. Go to subscription and click on customize
   1. Change renewal date
   2. Hit update and lock
   3. Hit unlock and sync
   The result is the directive memory_limit =1G is lost.
   4b. Go to service plan and adjust mailboxes from e.g. 5 to 6
   1. Sync plan with subscriptions
   Result is the directive is lost.

   This effectively kills any versatility in the service plans for mass changes and is potentially dangerous for the customers as it can cause things to break.

   In my opinion at the very least each service plan tab as we define it

   Resource
   Permissions
   Hosting Parameters
   PHP Settings
   Applications

   should have a separate lock. That way when we change something in the PHP settings tab, only the php settings are marked as to need resyncing. When we change something in the resources, only resources will resync etc etc.

   This would still be prone to errors when editing php settings of course but at least not when you're adjusting resources.
   Ideally a list of all changes to each subscription if you decide to sync again should appear too and ask for confirmation. That way at least you can note what to fix after plesk breaks it.

3. Running alternative commands in the GIT deployment

   Hi,

   What im missing on the GIT deployment is additional commands which are not bound to NPM. What i want for my application is to run the following commands:

   composer install
   php artisan migrate
   gulp --production (which is aliased to "npm run prod")

   Unfortunately PHP commands doesnt work on the Alternative Deployment Actions. it would be great if any command can be created.

   For people that tried to run PHP 7 commands:
   /opt/plesk/php/7.0/bin/php ~/tools/composer.phar install

   doesnt work either

4. For all linux distributions, use either the joint package pool. Or support all.

   I can not installation plesk on Fux-Sunucu-1.2.x86_64. server edition linux operating system. rpm package manager based.

   Thank you, but we only support Operating Systems listed at https://docs.plesk.com/release-notes/onyx/software-requirements/#s2 and we don’t intend to extend it to Fux-Sunucu at the moment

5. Make hosting directory switchable to another subscription as shared codebase, leaving email left for the client to configure

   We're hosting a medium large group of websites in a shared WordPress Multisite, meaning the code all resides in one directory. Currently, we add all the email configuration inside the same subscription – which makes it bulky and hard to configure.

   However, it would be awfully nice to separate each and every clients emails in their own subscription. Doing this we could provide the clients with their own login to change their email configuration and would reduce our workload by a lot.

   To achieve this, i'd figure the hosting setting to be expanded with an option in a select box like "share hosting with subscription…"

   We Have Very Serious Problem with Plesk on Shared Hosting Company.
   We are Using Plesk Onyx + WHMCS 6 Plesk Module. For Auto Create Account After Payment.

   Customer Purchased A Hosting Account ( Account A )
   Plesk Created a Customer and Subscription for User.

   Problem is when : User Buy Another Account ( Account B )

   This Time Plesk Did Not Create New Customer And Just Create a Subscription Under Customer Of Account A.

   Many Users Are Web Designers And They Buy Many Accounts For Diffrent Companies Or Persons.

   In This Situation User Can Not Provide User/Password For Login To Plesk For every account.and there is just a User/Password Set ( Blong To Account A )

   In Other word User ( Web Designer ) Can Not Provide Seprate User/Password For Login To Plesk to Owner Of Account B.

   Now , We Are Creating Account Manualy and This is Very Bad.

   Do You Think You Shoud Fix This Big Problem ?

   Like cPanel , DirectAdmin , .... Every Account Should Have Seperate Panel User/Password.

10. Create a "Back to Top" Button

    Everyone knows the "back to Top" buttons at Websites with long pages and much content, so users don´t need to scroll up from the end of the page.
    Would it be possible to create a button, that would appear, when the visitors scroll down and move with the site?
    This feature would be great, maybe it could ylso be possible to personalize this button with colors, shadows, backgrounds, etc.
    I would be very happy, if you could create this feature in future !

    Since PEAR is more or less obsolete and Plesk 12.5 introduces PHP Composer support, we do not believe that we should spend our time and resources on supporting PEAR. We suggest everyone to switch to PHP Composer. If you want to discuss this, please use our forums (forum.odin.com). Thanks.

12. pre-upgrade(install) checker: recommended feature

    Hello,,
    it's recommended: checking that all packages can be downloaded but not only reached in pre-upgradde checker.
    Any problem with source server such permission error for a file (403) or 404 won't stop upgrading panel process and it causes problem.

13. create folders when connecting to new mail account with Outlook 2013, or have an option to create standard folders with account creation

    Outlook 2013 appears to be unable to configure its folder settings properly when it connects to a new and blank imap account.
    (It locally creates its own Sent folder on the top level and then isn't able to synchronize.)
    Outlook 2013 DOES configure itself properly when the standard folders have been created by a less stupid program, like Roundcube or Thunderbird. (To fix Outlook after that, 1.) move the unsynced messages somewhere safe 2.) delete the corresponding .ost while Outlook is closed or just delete and recreate that whole account.)

    It would help greatly if Plesk could have an option to just create the standard folder structure during account creation so Outlook can be used right away. That's probably easier to do than patching dovecot to create standard folders when the first client to connect is Outlook.

14. Expired domain reactivation

    When a domain is disabled/deactivated because it has expired, now I need to do a few steps to reactivate again.
    Go to Subscription, find domain and Customize (quite hidden) then change the date and then activate on an another windows.

    Better way should be Domains > Click on grey icon, pop-up asd to activate back. If domain is expired on date, then ask date field and activate back.

    Also on the domain screen is is expired a domain should have a new link to activate and same, popup with date and activate.
