  1. compile nginx with secure_link, mp4 & flv modules

Please can you include a version of nginx compiled with the following modules (that are required for pseudostreaming support)

    --with-httpsecurelinkmodule
    --with-http
    mp4module
    --with-http
    flv_module

Directions for nginx pseudostreaming compile at: https://gist.github.com/mikhailov/3174601 also indicate the following needed/should be included:

    --with-pcre=/usr/src/pcre-8.32 --with-openssl-opt=no-krb5 --with-openssl=/usr/src/openssl-1.0.1g --with-httpsslmodule --with-httpstubstatus_module

For reference, these are the modules included with the present Plesk 1.6 nginx module:

    --with-ipv6 --with-file-aio --with-httpsslmodule --with-httprealipmodule --with-httpsubmodule --with-httpdavmodule --with-httpgzipstaticmodule --with-httpstubstatusmodule

  2. Support CORS policies management by Plesk on Windows

Support CORS policies management by Plesk on Windows. Ability to add additional headers via Plesk.

Currently it is possible only on Plesk for Linux.

  3. web statistics with additional info (HTTP/HTTPS, IPv4/IPv6)

I would like to compare HTTP to HTTPS traffic and IPv4 to IPv6 traffic. The data should be in the logs, but it is currently not displayed.

  5. Add HTTP authentication to Panel itself

I think you should add HTTP authentication to the Plesk panel itself - that way it is more secure and if there is ever a vulnerability that allows bypassing the Plesk panel login, someone would also have to find a vulnerability in HTTP authentication itself before even getting to the Plesk panel in the first place. To me it makes more sense to make the Plesk panel itself the most secure it can possibly be, not just websites/virtual hosts hosted by the Plesk panel.

  6. Recycle IIS application pool on specific time

In IIS 8 I can put a specific time to recycle the application pool. See screenshot.
But in plesk Onxy I can't. This is very misleading. Because now I have to make a scheduled task in windows to make this happen. I prefer to do this in plesk, because I want to manage all my application pools settings in Plesk Onxy not in IIS 8.

From my opinion Plesk did already a good job to put some recycle settings in the Plesk interface. Can the specific time setting for recycling the appliction pool be added?

  8. Add an option to lock/freeze a website

    Hi,

some Hosts (e.g. Strato) use a functionality to completely lock a site. This is very useful for customers that dont want to do any changes to their website anymore but use an old version of a cms and forget/dont want to upgrade.

Of course there should be a warning about the consequences like non working file caching etc.

  9. Log File Rotation Frequency

Log files can be set to rotate by size or by period. These settings are processed once a day. However they need to be checked more frequently due to exceptional events such as brute force attacks.

Assume your settings are rotate by size at 500K. When the maintenance script runs if you a slightly under it will leave it alone, so maybe the following day it might reach 900K. So far so good.

But what happens when the log file grows to 14GB in 30 minutes, exhausting all free disk space and crashing the server. No harm was done by…

  10. NGINX RTMP MODULE

some of our clients uploaded videos to hosting , and the video files are big , because there is no support for rtmp the video have to be fully downloaded before it can be played.

    https://github.com/arut/nginx-rtmp-module

this RTMP module fixes this with the ability to send the video in chunk's

  11. Separate PHP-FPM process per subscription for security and performance reasons

Sharing a PHP-FPM process with separate pools per websites is a security issue and a problem for performance when some clients may deploy bad scripts to the server.

A huge reason for why sharing the same PHP-FPM process between subscriptions is that the OPCACHE (Xcache, APC and Opcache) share the same memory and it is accessible between clients. Disabling access to stats and controlling api of them is available, but it's not a great solution for some critical cases. Still, this is not suitable when isolation between apps is critical.

Another reason is with php scripts that clients deploy. In…

  14. Combine multiple 301 redirects

I recently updated to Onyx 17.5.3.

In the hosting settings for each domain i can enable a 301 redirect to HTTPS and i can set a 301 redirect for the preferred domain.

Great features, but the SEO boys are complaining... Apperently Google does not like multiple redirects.

    Please combine multiple 301 redirects.

  15. Put all nginx directives into one server block

    Hello,
As it is possible to put more than one listen directives, putting only one server block would optimize a lot the Nginx config file.
Also putting the index directive into the server part would avoid to put it in every / locations.

  17. editable global mime types for apache (default for all virtual hosts)

By default, apache will return wrong mime types for some file extensions (for examples font files).

We can add additional mime types per website, however we can't edit them globally for all websites via plesk.

We can achieve this by editing /etc/apache2/conf-enabled/mime-types.conf manually from cli, however plesk could provide a more comfortable way to do it.

Please add option to edit global mime types that will be used by all virtual hosts by default and overridden if website has its own instructions.

  18. nginx svgz support

.svgz files are compressed vector graphics.
When not inlining SVG it is often suggested to compress svg files in advance. This is the common svgz format.

But nginx does not deliver .svgz files correctly, because svgz files are not correctly encoded by nginx.
Plesk should add this by default:
    location ~ .svgz$ {
    add_header Content-Encoding gzip;
    }

This is also a known generic nginx issue. For example: https://github.com/h5bp/server-configs-nginx/issues/86

  20. Add .htaccess Redirect with RewriteCond (without changing URL)

For now I can use Frame Redirect (URL stays without Params) or directly redirect 301 or 302 to the Page. The coolest way to redirect for me is use htaccess RewriteCond, so Domain stays the same but accepts Params.
I need the possibility to set this via API.

Like this, but automatically in background:
    Options +FollowSymLinks -MultiViews
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteBase /

    RewriteCond %{HTTPHOST} ^(www.)?example.com$ [NC]
    RewriteRule ^ https://example-other-server.com%{REQUEST
    URI} [L,NE,P]
