  2. Don't copy default website to website doc root, use Apache's No Index location instead

    Currently when a website is created Plesk copies the default website files to the document root for that website.

    This has two issues in my opinion: 1 the user has to delete those files to start (not a big issue but would be nice if they didn't have to go through that step), and 2 when they delete those files they then get the default Apache2 Test Page, which at this point defeats the point of having default website files copied.

    I believe a better solution would be to change the No Index Apache location to a location that Plesk…

  6. Allow Suspend mode in Process Model - Idle Time-out Action at IIS 8.5

    IIS on Windows Server 2008 R/2012 provides the administrator with the option of timing out a worker process that is idle for a specified period of time. This is a good option for sites that are not accessed very often because it frees up system resources when the site is idle. The disadvantage is that the next time the site is accessed, the user will need to wait for the worker process to start again.

    In IIS 8.5 and later, the administrator has the option of suspending an idle worker process rather than terminating it. A suspended worker process remains…

  7. Nginx : like apache config, allow different configuration for http and for https

    In the manager we can put specific configuration apache directives for http and for secure http.

    This could help with solving issues like multiple redirections

    http://www.domain.tld -> http://domain.tld -> https://domain.tld
    where with two seprate context we could manage to one redirection in each context :

    www.domain.tld -> domain.tld

    And in the same manner give ssl directives only to https hosts....

  10. Would be nice to have an option to commit changes to settings of various websites

    Right now if I make changes to several websites (like changing the hosting settings, apache&nginx settings etc) the webservers get restarted every time the changes are saved. It can be annoying for the visitors of the websites (they get http errors every time the webservers are restarted). Would be nice to have all changes stored in a transaction so that admin can commit them all at once.

  13. Warning on PHP version switch

    I would like that when a customer changes the PHP version he is using to display a warning that his website may not be functioning correctly?
    It could be also good to consider in back versions like 12.0 or 11.5?

  14. Some Improvements and Options for the ftp server

    If you give the Login data to a Customer you normaly don´t want the next Customer to get access to the data (Sensible Datas) via the same login.

    So i´d say it would be practical if the password would change per login and that you´d get a notification Email that the Customer had logged in and the new automaticaly generated password for the next login with the same Username (requires a registred Email adress per Username for notification).

    Also it´d be usefull if the notification Email would Include a Direct Link to the ftp adress to add and remove Data…

    At present if you change the domain pointing directory, it will make a temporary site for the folder it is newly pointing.
    accounts with multiple domains a felicity to freely change the domain pointing to any directory or sub directory with out effecting the site running on that directory will help to point multiple domains to point to same direcory

    So visitors won't be able to use download manager software such as Internet download manager to download multiple files/videos at the same time!

  20. Tor Integration for accessibility Domains in Tor Network

    I do not know whether this is worthwhile.
    But I would be happy if a gate integration would be possible to reach each domain with a TLD Onion.
