6. Display MySQL/MariaDB versions with warnings for unsupported versions in the Dashboard

   Many users run unsupported versions of MySQL or MariaDB, leading to issues such as failed updates or database errors. Since Plesk only supports LTS versions of MySQL/MariaDB, it's important to make this clear to administrators.

   I propose adding the following improvements to the Dashboard:

   • Display the installed MySQL/MariaDB version directly on the Dashboard.
   • Include warnings for unsupported MySQL/MariaDB versions, with a color-coded alert system similar to the OS warnings.

   These warnings should also link to support articles that explain the importance of running supported database versions and provide instructions for updating to a supported version.

   By implementing this, administrators can easily identify when their database version is outdated and take appropriate steps before it causes issues.

11. Add global setting for automatic mail.domain.tld certificate assignment

    I'd like to propose a straightforward solution that has proven effective in the industry.

    Introduce a global setting in Plesk:

    [ ] Use mail.domain.tld subdomains for all mail certificates
    ⓘ This setting will automatically assign mail certificates through mail.domain.tld subdomains for all subscriptions.

    Benefits of this approach:

    • Provides a consistent, automated way to handle mail certificates.
    • Solves the automatic renewal issue without requiring manual intervention.
    • Simplifies subscription migration between Plesk servers. Customers won't need to adjust settings, reducing frustration for both clients and administrators.
    • Adapts to current market trends, where clients often host their websites externally (e.g., on Wix) while keeping their email on the Plesk server. This setup is increasingly common, and mail.domain.tld addresses this by providing a stable, predictable mail server name for clients.

    This approach has been successfully adopted by cPanel, which creates mail.domain.tld subdomains for all subscriptions by default. Their implementation has been reliable, scalable, and widely accepted by users.

    Additional Advantages:

    • Optional global setting provides flexibility.
    • Allows administrators to choose the new approach or retain the current behavior.
    • Minimizes changes to existing infrastructure, which could simplify implementation.

    Given its proven success in production environments, I believe the complexity of this solution may be significantly lower than initially estimated.

14. Bypass MFA when using session token to login

    Currently, when session tokens are used for logging into Plesk and MFA is enabled, the MFA code is still required.

    Plesk should have a native mechanism to detect when a backup job is stuck; helping to manage backups more efficiently without relying on manual intervention.

    Plesk should allow backups to automatically resume from the point where they fail, rather than starting from the beginning; saving time and resources, especially for large backups.
