WordPress extension should create a backup automatically before applying updates.4 votes
The “safe updates” feature was released in WordPress Toolkit 2.3. Now you can save a snapshot of your WordPress instance before updating it or syncing data to it. Changelog: https://docs.plesk.com/release-notes/onyx/change-log/#1753-mu20170824We would love to hear your feedback on our forum at http://talk.plesk.com. Thanks!
Right now it's required to add the passive FTP range in the FTP config and then add another firewall rule to let the clients access it.
Please make this default to the FTP config or at least configurable in the server security settings or even in the global FTP settings page.
Name: z.B Passive FTP-Transfer
Ports: e.g. 49150 - 65000 TCP (don't use ports below 10000 for security reasons)
Between <global> and </global> add the following lines:
PassivePorts 49150 65000
Restart service: service xinetd restart4 votes
This functionality was added in Plesk Onyx 17.8.11 MU1. We suggest you to upgrade to Plesk Onyx 17.8.11 MU1 and check it out.

installing Hebrew WordPress via application in plesk4 votes
WordPress Toolkit v2.0 installs WordPress directly from wordpress.org and provides you with a selection of all languages supported by WordPress.
WordPress Toolkit will be updated to v2.0 automatically if you have the previous version of WordPress Toolkit installed.
To install WordPress in Hebrew, open WordPress Toolkit on a subscription, click Install > Custom and select Hebrew under Interface Language. Note that Hebrew is spelled in Hebrew characters, not the latin ones.

This feature is already implemented in the upcoming Plesk 12.1 release. We encourage you to check the implementation in one of upcoming Plesk previews and let us know what you think.

Updated in Plesk 18.0.37: https://docs.plesk.com/release-notes/obsidian/change-log/#plesk-18037
Add the ability to perform cross-platform migrations of the emails even for external 3rd party mail services.
For now, it is only possible to use "Mail Importing" feature of the Site Import extension but it only migrates one mailbox at a time.
The alternative way is to use 3rd party IMAP migration tools to copy email content, or copy it manually but this operation was not tested by Plesk.3 votes
Please use Plesk E-Mail Migration Module – https://www.plesk.com/extensions/email-migration/
It would be great to add ability to customize Quick installation settings of Wordpress. For example, currently it is not possible to change installation path in case of Quick installation option is selected. However it maybe required to modify the path without customizing other options (such as Administrative access credentials, main configuration etc), Having ability to modify default quick installation settings would be a nice tool, which make it easier to use WordPress for end-users.3 votes
We have redesigned the installation experience, and it seems that installation of WordPress is now working the way you want. Check the feature out and let us know if you have any additional comments!
We built some scripts to add some new events by CLI (due it is not possible by XML- API) to our over 70 Plesk installations. We detected, that in several Plesk installations (even with the same Plesk- Version number), the IDs of the events (plesk bin event_handler --list-events) changes. So we can't use a script. We always have to check and fix the "Event" manually. it would be helpfull to use static ids (even for different versions of plesk) or a speaking id (exp. "reseller-limit-changed", "susbscripion-limit-changed")...

It is now possible to set up a MySQL data folder in a custom location using Plesk (all necessary permissions and adjustments will be configured automatically according to the custom path) (Plesk for Windows) – https://docs.plesk.com/release-notes/onyx/change-log/#contents-179-preview12
I changed certificate that secures Plesk. The new certificate is an ECDHE-ECDSA certificate, the default Plesk certificate is an RSA certificate. I’ve noticed that parallelsinstaller is not reachable on port 8447 (after clicking on “Updates and Upgrades” in “Tools & Settings”), in combination with the new ECDHE-ECDSA certificate. parallelsinstaller is started, listen on port 8447, doesn’t write any error to any log file and everything seems to be ok. But the web browsers say “ERRSSLVERSIONORCIPHERMISMATCH” (Vivaldi/Chrome) and “SSLERRORNOCYPHEROVERLAP” (Firefox). No cipher is accepted, I’ve tested all available from OpenSSL. After I killed all parallelsinstaller instances, switched certificate back to Plesk’s default certificate, the following ciphers are accepted: AES256-GCM-SHA384, AES256-SHA256, AES256-SHA, CAMELLIA256-SHA, DES-CBC3-SHA, AES128-GCM-SHA256, AES128-SHA256, AES128-SHA, CAMELLIA128-SHA.
The Plesk administration GUI, available on port 8443, works fine with my ECDHE-ECDSA certificate.
My system: Ubuntu 14.04 x86-64, Plesk 12.5.30 Update #41
I think this is a bug in parallels_installer. I did not found a bug reporting system for Plesk 12, therefor I reported it here.

[*] In Plesk for Linux 17.8 and later, the extension now supports issuing ECDSA certificates. To have the extension issue certificates signed with ECDSA, add the following lines to the panel.ini file:
key-algorithm = ECDSA
ecdsa-curve-name = prime256v1 ; can be omitted
At the bottom of the page there is a © logo. It now sais © 2015 Parallels IP Holdings GmbH.

I've poked around looking for a method to d/l (i.e. a complete directory) using file manager...no luck.
It would be a welcome addition if it's actually not there - if it is, if someone could point me to it...marvelous.
