  1. Find and Install Apache Modules

In the apache modules screen have a space where a user can find and install packages via a GUI interface instead of using command line to setup modules.

  2. Git extension deploy using git's own worktree

There are limitations with the current git deployment system, including:

    1. You cannot edit files in-site and push them back to a repo. You must make all changes elsewhere and push them in. This can be limiting.
    2. You cannot see what has changed in the deployment directory. If we could "git status" we could easily find scripts that hackers installed. Currently this can be done by setting --git-dir and --work-tree options to git, but that is painful.

Thank you for your input! We will consider functionality to implement ability to set TLS as required for email connections in upcoming releases if it will be popular.

Everyone, please continue voting for this feature if you consider it important.

Please note that STARTSSL is a service of StartCom and there are issues with them to stay in CA role http://www.pcworld.com/article/3129725/certificate-policy-violations-force-reform-at-startcom-and-wosign.html so STARTSSL support will not be implemented in Plesk.

  4. Add an option to lock/freeze a website

    Hi,

some Hosts (e.g. Strato) use a functionality to completely lock a site. This is very useful for customers that dont want to do any changes to their website anymore but use an old version of a cms and forget/dont want to upgrade.

Of course there should be a warning about the consequences like non working file caching etc.

  5. Add a warning before application installation

Actualy to instal an application, the user just clik on "install" bouton in application list.

    • No warning
    • No options

Plesk directly install the application in httpdocs....

Good but if user already got a website in httpdocs... this website is définityvely break.

So i suggest to a a warning or installation options when user clik on install button

    Best regard

  6. Prevent users from installing SSL certificates

As reseller (or administrator) we should be able to prevent customers installing a selfsigned or 3rd party bought SSL certificate themselves.

It's not possible to disable the 'SSL support' check box within the
'Service Plans' menu section 'Hosting Parameters' because as Administrator we install customer SSL certificates by API. Disabling 'SSL support' will also disable installing SSL certificates by API.

  8. Show currently/recently mail sending scripts

Use case: One of our customer has uploaded files to his ftp server in a public internet cafe and his password was stolen. Afterwards there was a mass spam mail sending script on his webserver. Our server has been landed in black lists. It was very difficult to find and correct it.

  9. Clarify that underscores are automatically added by Plesk when creating SRV records

Just Place some text on the SRV "add record" page to clarify that users don't have to add underscores to the service- and protocol names.

If they do, there will be two underscores and Office 365 won't validate.

  10. Site migration on client level

There should be a way for clients to be able to migrate from one provider to another between servers without problems and server administrator involvement.

Since Plesk 18.0.46 Nginx is shipped with GeoIP module. Please see https://docs.plesk.com/en-US/obsidian/administrator-guide/website-management/websites-and-domains/extended-website-management/plesk-for-linux-setting-up-ip-geolocation-for-a-website.80011/

While this feature request is asking for an Apache module, we are wondering whether this is still needed as the same goals can be achieved with Nginx GeoIP in a much better way with less server resources.

Please comment in this feature request why you still need the Apache GeoIP module.

Thank you for your idea. At this time, the Node.js drop-in replacement "bun" is in a development stage. There is still lots of work to do and bun does not yet have any significant market share. There are also no signs that a broader community is using this instead of Node.js.

Maybe this will change in the future. We will consider this functionality in upcoming releases if it will be popular.

Everyone, please continue voting for this feature if you consider it important.

  15. Have some setting to limit days and timeframe of any updates

To have some settings to limit any kind of updates to be installed in the server like:
Day of the week, hour timeframe.
There's such settings in panel.ini but only for Plesk updates. I'm missing the same for System Updates and Hotfixes.

Currently, only major updates can be scheduled as described in https://support.plesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/12377016862103-How-to-manage-date-and-time-for-Plesk-autoupdates- and the forum thread https://talk.plesk.com/threads/update-times.355417/. System package updates and minor updates are not affected.

This feature asks to also provide a setting where sytsem package updates and minor Plesk updates can be scheduled. This is a valid request. We will consider this functionality in upcoming releases if it is popular. Everyone, please continue voting for this feature if you consider it important.

  16. fetch_url.ps1 should support cookies

    %PLESK_DIR%\Additional\Scheduler\fetch_url.ps1 script should support cookies.

Currently, if a URL, you fetch with it, sets a cookie (and tries to read it back ? - not sure about this part tho), it fails due to the $webRequest object not having a CookieContainer.

Just add two lines into the script before calling GetResponse():
    $cookieContainer = New-Object -TypeName 'System.Net.CookieContainer'
    $webRequest.CookieContainer = $cookieContainer

  19. Add "mail.example.com" (mail subdomain) in Subject Alternative Names when option "Assign the certificate to mail domain" is selected

Currently almost all mail clients (I used) need the server address to be in the Subject Alternative Names on the certificate, meaning if the configured address is "mail.example.com" instead of "example.com", that first subdomain is not present in the certificate, even when the option "Assign the certificate to mail domain" is selected when issuing the certificate.
