Make FTP Backup more robust
Make FTP Backup more robust. I constantly get messages that either FTP Backup didn't work or that it made a full backup instead of a incremental.
Also when i open the backup list, often the FTP backups aren't shown the first time... then i need to reload the page.
It seems that there is a low timeout or something else that is wrong.
The FTP goes to a 1 gig synchronous NAS in our office and i hear the disk spinning up for a few seconds (the disks go to sleep on inactivity).
Maybe this spinup time breaks the backup timeout code.
Please fix this and maybe also allow a option to try to reupload later to the FTP automatically or manually if FTP failed.
Thank you for your input!
Unfortunately, we have to close your request because it has not become quite popular for further implementation over the years.

Don't rely on the FTP resume feature, that is not available on most cloud FTP storage services. Retry the upload if failed, especially when using multivolume backup archive.

The Backup "script" should disconnect and reconnect to the FTP storage prior to the backup 3 min before and 30 seconds before again.
If there is a connection error at this point it then can log the error and continue putting the backup to the server. Also it would be very usefull if one could define a secondary backup storage, splitting monthly/weekly and daily backups on different backends. (one of some bestpr. backup strategys).
Thanks guys!

I can confirm that also with LiveDrive and Monster Cloud the upload will fail 9 times on 10
