To use domain names instead of IP
Before, you could do the migrations using domain names and now, since the last update, only supports IP. It is much more comfortable to use domain names.
Description of the field to enter IP address of source server was always “IP address”. It means numeric IP, not hostname. Migrator is developed (and always was) in such a way, that there was expected numeric IP. The case when you entered hostname in the past and it all work okay is not documented feature that was never tested and might cause incorrect work or failure of migrator in some cases, which you probably did not stumble. So starting from Migrator 2.0.x there is protection so that customers enter numeric IP and not hostname.
It is quite easy for user to resolve hostname in IP and copy&paste it in “Source server IP:” field. There are no further plans to extend functionality so that Migrator start working with hostnames in a safe manner.
