Is there a particular host you moved to? I have no attachment to Digital Ocean or Ubuntu. @Douglas

Sorry, I tried I would only add a random .net core docker I download but didn't know how to configure it so I moved to windows ***

I think Docker might be the best route for now. Are there any good setup guides that include the appropriate directives for Plesk? @Douglas

SQL server is also supported on Linux, just not by Plesk.

well if you are going to use SQL server it will need to be a windows machine right? I am sure Plesk for windows does support asp.net core no?

Docker adds it's own complexity.
Plesk is about simplifying deployment and management, so giving up on this is not the right direction.
Also I would need SQL Server Express backup and restore, and natively, not in docker. -

Think at this point is better you go with docker, create your .net core project ship it to a container and in Plesk Linux you install it, then the only thing you need to do is change the apache file to point/redirect to your docker port to use port 80

Does anyone know of a tutorial for running .NET Core on Ubuntu with Plesk?. I understand it is not directly supported but I think adding the appropriate nginx/apache directives should make it work. I have a DO droplet using this image: https://marketplace.digitalocean.com/apps/plesk

for those 1,079 votes if each of those would be a new Monthly payment they are losing 16k per month, I would be using them if they had support for .net core as they don't I am using windows and doing myself

The nexuscore for cPanel is really bad and haven't been updated for years and there is a lot - a lot - of missing features so i defently would not recommend it.

Why has Plesk not address this request since 2019, now with over a thousand upvotes; How many upvotes will it need to make it "important" enough to Plesk.
Makes you wonder why this website/forum even exists... It clearly is completely pointless/useful and not fit for purpose.

My question to those saying it is possible to add support to linux for. Net Core via command line etc (yes, most of us are aware .net core is supported by linux); Question is once added and setup, is it then possible to manage new and existing .Net Core websites through the plesk user interface?
I'd like to know if its worth going through the effort to setup on plesk server i.e. so you can have .Net Core applications works seamlessly with other plesk applications via GUI.

I was also thinking about a competitor. They have got AWS S3 Cloud Backup but they don't have Azure Backup. I don't really think it is complicated to implement Azure backup because there are many WordPress Azure Backup plugins..

Either my previous post, or someone is paying them to keep .net off of their software? Maybe a competitor?

I've tried for a while to get them to respond to this to no avail. Maybe their engineers tried to implement it but have failed to do so, so they are keeping quite on the subject?
Please - if you needed some help sorting it out surely any if us, or stackoverflow can help you.
Because that seems to be main reason this hasn't been implemented - incompetence? Don't care what their customers want?

While we can configure our linux servers to support .NETCore, the point is that we are all using Plesk to reduce manual maintenance and to offer good hosting automations to our customers.
Plesk does not support .NETCore... is .NETCore that support linux, that's different....
What we are asking here, is a seamless integration between Plesk and .NETCore, without the need to manually configure apache and nginx directives. Our customers should be able to pubblish their .NETCore projects without manual configuration, and we should be able to enable/disable .NETCore support in hosting plans.
i just cant understand why plesk is utterly ignoring us....

Guess we will be moving to Cpanel

I dont get the angst around this and Laravel support - Plesk already works with both.
It may not hold your hand to set it up but on the other hand it works with minimal effort.
