Allow login to address overuse and reset rather than locking users out of their account.
When resources overused, currently you can log in but can't make changes/discover the reason for the over use. Furthermore you are unable to address the issue and get the site up and going again without contacting the host. It would be better to allow the user to address the issue and get the site back up without involving the host (if possible)
I do not think that it is advisable. The owner of the hosting receives a fee for the overuse cases and only host must control it.
Resource management will become uncontrollable if we do as you ask.

They keep sending me reminder e-mails though, even though i deleted the entire host account, maybe curtail the auto reminder automation

The same was previously asked for in https://plesk.uservoice.com/forums/184549-feature-suggestions/suggestions/39833893-allow-login-to-address-overuse-and-reset-rather-th , but indeed if a hoster allowed continuous usage of the webspace account in an overuse situation, the hoster will lose control over the resource management. I will merge this request with the previously declined request.
But: I would like to point you to this request where more options are asked for on the behavior of resource management in case of an overuse situation. Maybe you'd like to vote for it instead: https://plesk.uservoice.com/forums/184549-feature-suggestions/suggestions/6228178-overuse-policy-overuse-is-not-allowed-grace-per

I accidently uploaded too many files, and then was locked out of the account so I could not delete to get back into compliance. This is just a hobby, so I am trying to learn what I'm doing wrong.
