ClamAV is free!

It´s a Mail Content Scanner like amavisd, but with more secure options like extensions update, in spamassassin and clamav.

What are these antiviruses? I cannot find them

Maybe Plesk can that integrate in Plesk FuGlu Mail Content Scanner (http://gryphius.github.io/fuglu/) + ClamAV

IMHO Parallels should not force me/us to use a paid antivirus solution if I choose to install Plesk panel on Linux servers (that most of them are free Operating Systems). Given Linux OS are providing ClamAV for free as part of software packages/repositories I think you should provide the ClamAV as part of your suite.

Some reasons:
1. ClamAV can scan all EMail messages, that is a security requirement for any Mail Server.
2. Also, ClamAV can be configured to check FTP uploads during the process.
3. There is a PHP Extension that allow PHP Developers to scan files using just a simple PHP function, and that is a +1 when we work with uploaders.
4. ClamAV can be executed as System Daemon.
5. Plesk can provide an easy way to analyse the VHost folder as a scheduled task and send reports via email.

The other 2 solutions are expensive for small business that have chosen to use Plesk.

Clamav does it's own daily updates that doesn't mess up our websites.

We would like to have ClamAV because it is free and so more people can have a more secure server !

A decent paid extension would be better as an alternative to KAV and DR.WEB which are kind of too expensive.

Like Plesk Web Host is 15$ and KAV 30$ per month?...

People ask for Clamav as it is free and a 3-5$ addon to manage Clam through Plesk would show better potential for more Plesk users.

+1 ... it's free... I think that is absolutely necessary to allow to have a system protect from virus/malware without give you more money... Plesk is already enough expensive!

Well, I guess the point is that many user do not want to pay the extra fee for the two commercial anti-virus solutions...

We have all of our plesk server with kaspersky licences and it works alot better than our best clamAV configuration on some other servers - dont know why.

@ Greg Conway: You know, that spamassasin is able to move spam in another directory without forwarding? Thats not a point for the integration of clam av.

I would also like to see ClamAV within Plesk for the reason that it's a free subscription.
However what is really required is a spam quarantine system. When spam is received it should be held on the Plesk server (rather than being tagged and forwarded on) and the quarantine system should send a daily summary email of all spam/virus received. This email should contain individual links so that the end user could then click a link to have any single spam email delivered to them if they so require. Any spam that has not been delivered would then be deleted from the server after x days.
I am currently locked in an argument with my employees saying we should use the plesk spam/virus scanning system but they say it is not sufficient and we should instead be looking at something like barracuda or GFI. If the system as I have described was integrated into plesk then there would be no reason not to use plesk.
The current system of tagging emails is okay BUT it involves having to set up outlook rules on every single client PC to filter out the mail, and all the spam mail is still forwarded to the on-site exchagne server. using the system above the spam email would go no further than the plesk server unless specifically requested.

Clam allows blocking by attachment type, even if the attachment is inside a ZIP file
