Enable chrooted sftp for more than one user per account
If I use FTP, I can make as many users as I want. For various reasons, using FTP is not optimal at my workplace. I'd like to be able to let each ftp user I create log in with chrooted sftp.
I'm able to modify /etc/passwd and /var/www/vhosts/example.org/etc/passwd to make it work, but doing that manually kind of defeats the point of using a tool like Plesk...
Specifically, I give the ftp user the same home directory, and shell as the initial sftp user has in each passwd file.
This is a valid request, so we’ll look into it. There is no ETA at the moment, but we would really appreciate you voting for this request so that we can accurately assess its popularity relative to other features.
The original request contains a manual solution, so, we consider to automate it. Please, add a comment if your case will not be solved with that solution.
Thanks in advance!

This is a must for modern, secure routes to hosted clients' accounts on Plesk! Please add multiple SFTP user accounts per customer account as standard!

Hello there, I just vote for this and the number still on 290, is this working?
And now is possible this feature is not already working by default on Plesk?
This is crazy, in 2021 we can't create an additional SFTP user.
Besides that, this request was create on 2013, guys, how many years do you need to apply the basic needs like this? -

+1 for this request. This missing feature combined with only being able to provide SSH to the system user for a domain, is one of the biggest weaknesses of Plesk. It is extremely limiting for DevOps and CI tools, not to mention that SFTP is vastly preferred over FTP w TLS/SSL.

I nearly breaked my bones trying to implement an additional sftp user. It did not came to my mind that this is just not there in plesk. Now, I read there is a request since years. I would appriciate this function coming to live very much.

cPanel doesn't provide this either. Additional users are virtual FTP users. This is needed.

I agree, that's a basic function and a must have in Plesk!

For what reason have you not yet implemented sftp. The Middle Ages are long behind us!
Implement sftp quickly for all existing ftp users!

Yeah, it's a really sad state. They raised license costs and basic security features like this don't get implemented for years. I am migrating all my servers away from plesk as their focus seems to be milking the cow with (additonally paid) extensions.
