Add options to include additional PHP modules and extensions in Plesk (ioncube, mcrypt, imagemagick, etc)
Add options to include additional PHP modules and extensions in Plesk (ioncube, mcrypt, imagemagick, etc)

This feature is already implemented in the Plesk 12.0 release in scope of ‘Support of multiple PHP versions’. All PHP builds contain the most popular modules. If you have any additional feedback on the actual implementation, please let us know on our forums at http://forum.odin.com/

This installations do not include additional PHP modules like APC. So this feature request is about the things that aren't included in the installation!

Since the new Plesk version is offering the possibility of installing different php versions, in my opinion the next step is to give the possibility of installing modules and extensions in Plesk. There are so many php scripts out there, which require a working imagick class in php for resizing images / thumbnails. It would be so nice to active this extension by using Plesk.
Thanks for all you've done so far! I really like using Plesk :)

There are many e-commerce scripts out there that require the mcrypt extension. This option should be a priority.

MHC Support: Plesk is not some kind of server management tool. Is a hosting control panel. Running a hosting company or doing your own hosting will always require the administrator to have Linux (or Windows) knowledge. You cannot solve everything by having a GUI for it.

How can I install this module mcrypt? I need for my project... It´s urgent

Yes that's right Tozz, It will be helpful, if there is a Graphical interface for people with no Linux background(command line)

This is beyond the scope of Plesk. mcrypt installation can be done using your system's package repository. eg. in Debian:
apt-get install php5-mcrypt
