An error occurred while saving the comment Tobias Sörensson commentedthey dont want to implement it as they have a addon sentinel someting that has clamav in it and if they implement it then the addon will prob lose ppl.. so i think its sadly a business thing.

Here is what bind9 says about name flattening

Long story short bind9 don't support name flattening becouse it breaks the zone file system.
If you want cname like feature you are asking for alias name then you can use power dns see

So the cname flattening aka alias record is not a standard yet it's still in draft. If it becomes a standard then I think plesk will implement it or bind will implement it. If you need this feature use something like cloudflare.
