  1. Support dynamically assigned IPv6 addresses on Plesk for Linux

Currently, Plesk for Linux filters out IPv6 addresses that were assigned dynamically by use of Stateless Address Autoconfiguration, or other means: https://plesk.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000239114

This greatly limits IPv6 functionality in Plesk due to the fact that all hyperscalers (Amazon, Google, Azure, Vultr, etc.) provide IPv6 addresses using the autoconfiguration method.

  2. Possibility to manage ASP modules via Plesk

A feature that would allow to install, manage and remove ASP modules such as FileUp in Plesk.

  3. Exclude internal requests from the Traffic statistics

Plesk seems to add up the request response size,
including those of its own extenal IP address.
We would like to disable this behaviour or filter out this info, because
this is not the actual traffic.

We have customers that have a lot of internal requests because of some
caching module where about 50% of the total traffic is from its own IP.

  4. Nginx restart interval functionality

An Nginx restart interval should be helpful for situations when users use API calls to modify domain's PHP settings. This results in multiple nginx reloads:

    /var/log/plesk/rc_actions:

INFO: [Tue Feb 26 15:26:00 CET 2019]: Service: nginx, Action: try-reload
INFO: [Tue Feb 26 15:26:44 CET 2019]: Service: nginx, Action: try-reload
INFO: [Tue Feb 26 15:26:59 CET 2019]: Service: nginx, Action: try-reload
INFO: [Tue Feb 26 15:28:06 CET 2019]: Service: nginx, Action: try-reload
INFO: [Tue Feb 26 15:29:11 CET 2019]: Service: nginx, Action: try-reload

A similar functionality exists for apache in Tools & Settings > Apache web server > Restart interval.

  5. Little Question Marks

it would be nice, if you can put little Question Marks between the important words, so that you don´t have to read the whole book with tips.
Over these Question Marks you can hover and than there is a short information about several steps.
Sry for the bad english i am from Germany.

  6. Add new site or modify existing site without Apache restart /graceful restart

For example, Odin uses a system where all the website information is stored inside a NoSQL database, and apache just reads this data with a special module:

    http://www.odin.com/products/automation/services-and-applications/shared-hosting-next-generation/

  8. Change Subscription Removal behavior

We sometimes set an immutable bit on .htaccess so the resellers can`t remove it.

As the reseller may remove the subscription it gives an apache error as the system user is removed but the vhost is not.

In my opinion, this removal flow should do the following:
    - Remove the symlink to the vhost config
    - Remove the system user
    - Remove the vhost directory (if this fails, send an email with the reason why `rm` failed, instead of the reason `httpd` cannot restart)

By first removing the symlink to the config, whatever happens during the deletion of the vhost…

  9. Add ability to manage TLS version per domain basis

For now it is possible to manage specific TLS version and cipher suite only on server level, meaning that particular TLS versopm will be applicable for all domains at once. It would be nice if Plesk introduces the ability to manage TLS version per domain basis, which would add more flexibility for Plesk administrators.

  10. Redirect Plesk from HTTP to HTTPS on Windows

Redirect http://hostname:8443 to https://hostname:8443 on Windows.

Currently only Plesk on Linux can do this.

  11. Anonymize IPs only in statistics, not in log files

I'm missing a feature where I can anonymize the statistics, but not the log files. Background: I need the IPs for 7 days for security reasons (the logs are deleted after 7 days), but want to use AWstats for statistics which cover the last 12 months (at least). At this moment I have to choose between complete anonymization and using statistics OR no anonymization and no statistics.

  12. Add support for MicroSoft Web Deploy 4.0

Web Deployv.4.0 was installed on the server before Plesk.
Now WebDeploy is displayed as installed in Plesk installer.
However, it is not detected by Plesk in Tools & Settings > Server Components(Refresh does not help either).

Please add support for WebDeploy 4.0

  13. More out of the Box configuration for Microcaching (Nginx)

As far as now in Plesk 17.8.9 Beta there are just limited options to configurate Nginx Mircocache.

There is no option to Cache every time.
Even if you de-select all of the "Bypass cache when" Rules your file looks like that.

    /var/www/vhosts/system/domain.tld/conf/nginx.conf

    [...]
    proxy_no_cache $no_cache;
    proxy_cache_bypass $no_cache;
    [...]

But I want Microcache to Cache even if nocache is set.
Also these values are not configurable:

    For Microcache

    proxy_cache_valid
    proxy_cache_background_update
    proxy_cache_ignore_headers
    proxy_cache_buffer_size
    proxy_cache_buffers
    proxy_cache_busy_buffers_size
    proxy_cache_temp_file_write_size
    proxy_cache_read_timeout
    proxy_cache_lock
    proxy_cache_methods
    proxy_cache_revalidate
    proxy_cache_min_uses
    proxy_http_version
    proxy_set_header

I would love to have some more options to fully configurate Microcache.

Thanks in advance and best regards,
    Martin

  16. Support for modern web statistics programs such as GoAccess

It would be nice if https://goaccess.io/ was supported for statistics.

    - Written in C, so faster than a perl script such as awstats.
    - Can be used in the traditional way to generate static HTML statistics pages from log files. But a more advanced integration could also provide real-time statistics.

  17. Mod_pagespeed 'cache' clear button in speed settings panel

When tuning system for mod_pagespeed, http/2, PHP7 w/opcache, https, ran into issue with Apache, where turning mod_pagespeed off, then back on, or off then restarting doesn't clear cache. On a development site, I had to do a htaccess to fully disable in order to apply CSS changes which were 'stuck' -- a 'clear cache' option from panel would be super cool, vs command line ! :-)

  19. Setting alternate directory path location of the vhost per Domain or service packet

At the moment it is not possible to change or choose the vhost path for a domain. Every Domain is installed in the standard vhost path, at example /var/www/vhosts
If someone has a Server with attached fast and slow storage or big and small storage, it should be possible for the administrator to choose between them when installing a new Domain. It could be possible to give a customer service packages with faster storage for mission critical domains or giving him a lot of space for another domain located on disk drives mounted to another location.

At the moment you can change default vhosts location in Plesk using the command-line utility transvhosts.pl
    Just check available options with

    plesk bin transvhosts.pl —help

Changing vhosts directory location for part of domains is impossible now.

Anyway thank you for your input. We will consider this functionality in upcoming releases, if it will be popular.

Everyone, please continue voting for this feature if you consider it important.

  20. add rar extract and compress to rar and other formats as well as zip available

add rar extract and compress to rar and other formats as well as zip available

For developers/database admins, sometimes backups are taken in different
formats and compression is done in different formats.

when compressed files other than ZIP file is uploaded for websites data
files, there is no way to uncompress them via PLESK, one has to go to SSH
and then extract to use it.

So compressing files/folders to multiple formats and then extraction from
multiple compressed formats will allow more ease of use for users where
they deal with no. of formats!
