  1. Using LDAP with Mail server

The LDAP Auth extension only allows enabling LDAP authentication to Plesk. Can you allow end-users to use outlook/thunderbird/webmail with the password stored in the Active Directory?

In this case, the mail server has to be configured via Plesk to use the LDAP authentication.

  2. Change (or add option to select) value that is used for the customer’s account root

Currently, when a subscription is created and the customer adds new domains, the following physical structure is created on a server:

    C:\vhosts\primary.domain\new.domain

where primary.domain is the primary domain of the subscription and new.domain is another domain, created by the customer.

Sometimes, in this scenario, a number of new domains created by the customer might be quite big, so physical structure becomes something like this:

    C:\vhosts\primary.domain\new.domain

    C:\vhosts\primary.domain\new1.domain

    ...

    C:\vhosts\primary.domain\new199.domain

    C:\vhosts\primary.domain\new200.domain

In these circumstances, when the primary domain's name is changed, for example:

primary.domain changed to newprimary.domain so physical structure is changed to C:\vhosts\newprimary.domain*

There is a lot of data that has…

  3. Add CLI for managing Scheduled Tasks to be able to create multiple tasks at once

In Plesk, there is no CLI for managing scheduled tasks. Thus, if it's necessary to create multiple scheduled tasks, it's required to create them one-by-one in GUI.
CLI for managing scheduled tasks will allow creating multiple scheduled tasks by invoking a CLI utility in a script.

  4. Allow configuring Smart Updates to check process such as Checkout

Allow configuring Smart Updates to check process such as the Checkout when Wordpress is used as an online store (WooCommerce) so it ensures that performing the upgrade won't break the checkout process from beginning to end.

And/Or allow the ability to configure custom testing scenarios.

  5. Obsidian Scheduled Tasks update has less functionlity due to cron style Version 18.0.25 Update #2

    Version 18.0.25 Update #2 Windows

New Cron style schedule tasks. This was such a poorly thought out feature to implement and as such a bad one.

It's great that Plesk want's to standardise the control panel between platforms but now in the case of Windows servers the experience is worse than before. Previously there were checkboxes that you could tick, so if you wanted a task to execute every 5 minutes then you could just ticket the appropriate boxes.

Now in attempt to bring cron style to Windows without the / character this has become really laborious having to enter…

  6. "Add another" button when adding mail

It happened to me a few times that I had to create a bunch of mails, over 100 mail accounts. I'd be really nice to have an "add another" button on the bottom, which saves the new account, but reloads the page so you can add another. A minor feature, but think it could make someone's life easier.

    Cheers.

  8. add search and replace in code editor

The ctrl-F feature provides a search function, but there is no search and replace that I can find. I'd like the file editor to have the same editing functions as notepad++.

  9. More flexible "Hosting settings management" permissions option

More flexible "Hosting settings management" permissions option. For example, disable "CGI support" and "SSI support" to be modified by a customer but allow other Hosting settings to be modified.

  10. support BTRFS or ZFS filesystem

Support the usage of a BTRFS (or ZFS) filesystem so that administrators could take advantage of several new features like taking snapshots, using storage pools, ...
I've currently tested Plesk against BTRFS and ZFS but Plesk does at least support no quotas on this filesystems so that we can not use them as quotas are mandatory.

  11. Allow work with simultaneous Browser tabs on Plesk

To allow Plesk to work properly with multiple browser tabs under the same user session.
For example with Google Chrome, log in once at Plesk as a dmin then:
Ctrl+Click on Tools&Settings, and then also on Clients
On the clients page, click on "Log In as Customer" and wait for it to load.
Go to the other tab (Tools&Settings) and click somewhere. It will be automatically redirected to Client, instead of staying as Admin for this tab.

  13. Manage all the additional Plesk PHP-FPM versions in Watchdog Monitoring extension

The following User Voice request was rejected long time ago: https://plesk.uservoice.com/forums/184549-feature-suggestions/suggestions/35256088

However, it is a must that the Watchdog Monitoring extension would allow the Plesk administrator to monitor the additional Plesk PHP-FPM versions.

As per now, going to Extensions > My Extensions > Watchdog, it only supports OS PHP-FPM.

The additional Plesk PHP-FPM handlers are part of Plesk and this request should be considered by the developers.

The following workaround allows the monitoring but it is not possible to manage it from Plesk GUI: https://support.plesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000584394

In the past, when some OSes supported by Plesk used 'sysvinit', it was reasonable to monitor and restart PHP-FPM services. Currently, all supported OSes are systemd-based and systemd monitors and restarts PHP-FPM services by itself if necessary.

Monit (as a part of the Watchdog extension) performs regular checks every 5 minutes. The systemd detects the service down in a few seconds and restarts it.

The question is, is the request still valid and actual? Why do you prefer to monitor PHP-FPM services with Watchdog/Monit, and why is systemd monitoring not enough?

  16. Ability to use admin credentials for Migration Manager

Using root password is not secure. Using SSH key is not comfortable.

Destination Plesk should connect to the Source Plesk with admin credentials and send a temporary SSH key to the Source server. This key can be than deleted after migration. Or for more security admin of Source server can generate a one time password only for migration.

  17. Add native integration between Plesk and mod_cloudflare

Cloudflare dropped support for Cloudflare extension. Please consider native integration with Cloudflare. It is required for example to automatically update Cloudflare IP addresses with Nginx configuration to show real IP: https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en-us/articles/200170786-Restoring-original-visitor-IPs-Logging-visitor-IP-addresses-with-mod-cloudflare-

  18. Notification about extension updates

Inform Plesk administrator about the fact that these or other extensions were updated. It will be useful to track that bugs in extensions are fixed if it is known that "Bug will be fixed in extension (for example) version 1.5.2".

  20. Make Spamfilter Settings accessible for Mailbox Users

At this time, access to spamfilter settings for a mailbox are only possible for admins and website owners. Pls make it possible for logged in mailbox users to access and edit there own spamfilter settings.
It's very important, because on website's with many mailboxes, the admin often cannot support all users in setting up there spam settings.
