1. Add to Plesk possibility of installing certificates from ACME-compliant services other than Let's Encrypt

   In Plesk, there is a Let's Encrypt which is an ACME-compliant vendor of certificates. It would be good to have another one or the possibility to implement other ACME-compliant certificates via Plesk tools. For example JPRS: https://jprs.jp/pubcert/about/ACME/index.html

4. add time-expiring fail2ban whitelist entries

   Please add the ability to add IP addresses to a temporary whitelist with an expiration option. Occasionally, customers may need to troubleshoot issues (e.g., verifying their mail account credentials) after being banned by Fail2Ban. To prevent them from being immediately banned again, we whitelist them temporarily. However, over time, if you forget to remove them, the whitelist grows indefinitely. It would be beneficial if these entries could automatically expire and remove themselves after a set period.

5. Import existing accounts from SmarterMail remote to Plesk

   We have a remote server for mail with SmarterMail. We have a problem, when the clients creates an account from SmarterMail, there is no automatic script or something from Plesk that synchronises all the accounts.

   SSL session caching is not enabled by default in Plesk's Nginx configuration, leading to the warning “Session resumption (caching): No (IDs assigned but not accepted)” during SSL testing (e.g., SSLLabs test).    I'd like to propose a straightforward solution that has proven effective in the industry.

   Introduce a global setting in Plesk:

   I would like to see the full content of the email that is stuck in the queue, rather than just the email headers and similar information. Currently, it is quite cumbersome to retrieve this information through the shell, and being able to view it directly would save considerable time and effort.

9. Smarthost per domain configuration & enablement

   At the moment, it is possible to configure Smarthost in Plesk on a server level and enable it for all domains at once.

   However, there can be cases where I need to enable configured Smarthost for some specific domains only, with all the other emails flow via the default mail system.

   Another example is that when I, as an admin, configured Smarthost on a server level and want to provide my customers & resellers with an ability to enable this Smarthost ad hoc.

10. Backup manager: Include Docker Volumes

    Some of my dockers are inside the sites' folders, inside httpd, but some have different permissions or user groups that sometimes do not allow the volume to be backed up, an example was postgresql, you can test, if there is even one advice on how you could add permission to the user or the system that makes the backup so that they can copy the files, for example.

    Furthermore, it would be great to get a backup of the container volumes, I believe this would make pleks the only one and come out ahead of the other panels.

    Modern operating systems switch from log files to journals, so log current log rotation settings do not cover all needs. It would be useful to be able to set up journald vacuum settings from the panel.

12. Add backup restore (sw-tar) multithreading

    Plesk uses its internal sw-tar program for unpacking backups, which currently lacks multithreading support. This results in a significantly slower recovery process when handling a large number of files or large data volumes.

    Given the continuously growing data volumes and increasing file sizes, it is time to implement this feature.

13. Autoresponder "From" Email Addresses

    It is commonplace nowadays to see something like this when we receive email.

    "Accounts From My Organisation" accounts@myorganisation.com .

    It looks far more professional and more aesthetically pleasing than the utilitarian "accounts@myorganisation.com" which is the only option currently available in the Plesk Obsidian autoresponder functionality.

    It would be a nice feature - and fairly simple, I imagine - to add a field to the autoresponder functionality to allow us to enter a "pretty" name which would be what the email recipient would see in their inbox. Alternatively, of course, the existing field could be amended to allow for "something here" actual email account to be entered as a single object.

    At very little cost, we all suddenly look more business-like.

17. ability to toggle WordPress REST API endpoints

    I've recently discovered that by default, WordPress exposes a REST API endpoint at /wp-json/wp/v2/users which can be exploited to enumerate users. While I have found a workaround by creating a custom rewrite rule in IIS to block access to this endpoint, I believe this should be a built-in feature of the WP Toolkit.

    I propose that Plesk add an option within the WP Toolkit to easily enable or disable access to specific REST API endpoints, such as /wp-json/wp/v2/users. This would provide an additional layer of security for WordPress sites and make it easier for administrators to protect their websites.

    I believe that this feature would be highly beneficial to the Plesk community and would contribute to a more secure WordPress hosting environment.

18. URL-based branding logos

    I suggest enabling Plesk to allow different branding logos in the login screen and the top left corner of the session, depending on the full-qualified hostname used to reach the server. For example, if a server can be reached through 2 different names, the idea would be to be able to set a default branding logo and have alternative ones depending on the URL used to connect to the server. Here's an example:

    plesk.domain2.net -> alternative logo 1

19. avoid Plesk panel update when a backup is running

    Plesk updates the panel while a backup process is running. This can interrupt a backup, for example:

    but I have observed other similar issues before. On large servers, a full backup can run for many hours. If it fails, many hours of high cpu load are lost and the backup must be repeated the next night. It would be better to move the Panel updates dynamically forward into a time frame when the software detects that no backups are running.

    In the meantime, you may consider scheduling Plesk's major updates for days/times when backup jobs are not expected to run.

20. Usage of "Quick Preview" DNS should be made more clear.

    The fact that Plesk must be the DNS server for the "Quick Preview on a domain in Plesk" option should be underlined and more prominent in the interface. The necessity of a Wildcard SSL cert should be clearer too. That would help your clients and avoid some tickets to Plesk support.
