  1. Add DNS TTL per entry

Add a DNS TTL per entry option instead of just SOA TTL.

This will make it more inline with products like cPanel etc and is very useful when using dynamic dns to have low TTL but other entries like mx can have a high TTL

  3. Implement DNS Certification Authority Authorization (CAA) resource record

Certification Authority Authorization (CAA), defined in RFC 6844, is a standard that allows domain name owners to control which CAs are allowed to issue certificates for their properties.

ssllabs.com has implemented the detection for this record when checking for the SSL grade they give. To prevent getting graded down and use state of the art techniques for ssl security I would usggest to allow adding those nameserver record.

    RFC: https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc6844

  5. Option to set global hostmaster address (SOA)

Right now, every domain gets the hostmaster mailaddress from the correspondent client data in Plesk. It is stored in dns_zone table and not changeable globally.
Especially for resellers it would be great to override this setting with a global hostmaster address (e.g. hostmaster@domain.com) set through Plesk admin interface - a manual change to be done each time a new domain is registered is not really comfortable.

Furthermore, if the client mail is set as hostmaster, addresses like name.surname@domain.com are not escaped and lead to a soa entry like name@surname.domain.com. This should also be fixed.

    1) “Option to set global hostmaster address (SOA)”

This feature is already available since versions:
    - Plesk Onyx 17.5.3 MU#58.
    - Plesk Onyx 17.8.11 MU#22
    - Plesk Onyx 17.9 Preview 5

Open “Tools & Settings / DNS Template / SOA Records Template /” and check “Email (RNAME)” settings.
Let us know if you have any feedback

    2) If the client mail is set as hostmaster, addresses like name.surname@domain.com are not escaped…

Unfortunately, we cannot confirm this issue. If you have additional information about this issue or want to get advice from the community, please go to our forum at talk.plesk.com. Thank you.

  6. Add the functionality to modify the notify-to-soa option from within Plesk and make it persistent

Add the functionality to modify the notify-to-soa option from within Plesk and make it persistent.

Right now it can be done as per the workaround shown here: https://support.plesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001713434

However, this solution is not persistent as the file /etc/named.conf gets overwriten everytime a change is made in Plesk.

  7. Enable multiple strings in a single TXT (SPF) record

At the moment when adding TXT (SPF) DNS record in Plesk it is impossible to enter it as concatenated quoted strings

    "v=spf1 include:AAA.com" "include:BBB.jp" "include:CCC.jp ~all"

(all quotes will be automatically escaped)

    "\"v=spf1 include:AAA.com\" \"include:BBB.jp\" \"include:CCC.jp ~all\""

    This RFC
    https://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc4408.txt
3.1.3. Multiple Strings in a Single DNS record

states that such concatenated quoted string format should be possible.

    Please, implement this feature

  8. Add custom "options" directive in /etc/named.conf file without overwritting

It should be possible to add custom "options" directive in /etc/named.conf file without Plesk Overwriting them.

  9. Add custom dns recursion settings via Plesk GUI or CLI and avoid overwriting by Plesk

Going to Tools & Settings > DNS Template > DNS Recursion Settings, it's not possible to set a custom list of IPs or hostnames, it's only possible to choose between different options: any host, localnets, localhost.

As a workaround to this limitation, i'ts required to customize the options section in the /etc/named.conf file, but it gets overwritten by Plesk.

Please, add the possibility to customize the dns recursion settings via Plesk GUI and to keep the custom allow-recursive set in /etc/named.conf file.
