1. Replace IP on the server interface

   "/usr/local/psa/bin/reconfigurator" utility adds new IP to interface and assigns all subscriptions to it.

   Old IP still can be pinged and Rereaded in Plesk.
   It's needed to remove this IP manually from the interface.
   It's good to have a feature to remove old IP automatically(IP replacement).

3. Enhanced VPN support

   Since VPN connection are more and more common, and mobile devices used to connect to monitor servers, there is a need for an enhancement on the old VPN Add-on on plesk (linux).
   Currently the IOS and Android OpenVPN client does not support secret — Static key encryption mode (non-TLS) is not supported.

   Which is the only way to use the Plesk VPN connection because it does not support certificates.
   There is a lot of literature on troubles with VPN on mobile, but basically, all of them are due to old style, unsecured way to connect to VPN.

4. Setup global PHP-FPM settings Tools & Settings > PHP Settings

   As an alternative to edit PHP-FPM settings per Service Plan, it would be helpful to provide the possibility to setup PHP-FPM settings on the same place as global PHP.ini settings are available

6. Fix File and Folder Permissions for docroot from Plesk UI

   When switching from Apache to FastCGI the Service Provider needs to change the permissions for the customer from apache:apache to <user>:psacln

   This can be fixed by having a button in Plesk which does:

7. Fully Customizable Autodiscover Settings

   Could you please allow some (or all) of the new Obsidian Autodiscover settings to be customizable at a Subscription or Domain level? Here is a list of things we need:

   1) Specify POP or IMAP or BOTH incoming server types.
   2) Specify custom domain prefixes for incoming and outgoing servers. (ie: mail.domain.ext or smtp.domain.ext or etc, etc...)
   3) Specify custom port numbers for both incoming and outgoing servers. (so we may specify exactly what kind of security is enabled or not)
   4) Any other settings that can be customized but are of lesser importance.

   Please, if you are concerned, allow a "simple, just works" setting for your everyday users and an "advanced, customize at your own risk" setting section for your professionals.

   Don't send Auto-Reply when message detected as spam

   When a mail account has Auto-Reply and Spamassassin enabled, the Auto-Reply function should read the x-spam header and, if the incoming message was found to be spam, the automatic response should not be sent.

   At the moment I often see Automatic replies stuck in the outgoing mail queue because they're being sent to spammers. This is silly!

10. Setting alternate directory path location of the vhost per Domain or service packet

    At the moment it is not possible to change or choose the vhost path for a domain. Every Domain is installed in the standard vhost path, at example /var/www/vhosts
    If someone has a Server with attached fast and slow storage or big and small storage, it should be possible for the administrator to choose between them when installing a new Domain. It could be possible to give a customer service packages with faster storage for mission critical domains or giving him a lot of space for another domain located on disk drives mounted to another location.

    At the moment you can change default vhosts location in Plesk using the command-line utility transvhosts.pl
    Just check available options with

    plesk bin transvhosts.pl —help

    Changing vhosts directory location for part of domains is impossible now.

    On any given Plesk screen where there is a list of items like domains or email addresses add a Download as CSV button. This makes comparing items for discrepancy easier. I have seen several Cpanel versions that have this ability.

    - Maximum mailbox size of 100MB
    So the maximum disk usage would be 1GB. but there are 2 LIMITATIONS here. first the client can't make more then 10 mailboxes.
    Second the maximum size of an mailbox is 100MB. You can make them smaller but that is useless.

    a subscription wide mailbox size can remove these restrictions and so greatly increase the flexibility for the client. For example the subscription wide mailbox size of 1GB and maximum of 5(or unlimited) mailboxes.

    the client wants:
    info@domain.tld: 600MB(is logic since an info@domain is much more used for (smaller) companies)
    sales@domain.tld: 300MB
    legal@domain.tld: 100MB
    creating another mailbox like demo@domain.tld is IMPOSSIBLE
    so i could give my clients UNLIMITED amount of mailboxes as long they do not EXCEED the 1GB.

    implementation methods:
    1. create a radio button to chose between the classic and this subscription wide.
    2. Change the current name of mailbox size to total mailbox size

15. Allow Let's Encrypt to validate over 80 or 443 (not just 80)

    We're very excited to see Let's Encrypt in Plesk 17, it makes secure sites much, much easier. However, port 80 is not open on a number of our servers for security reasons and it would appear the Plesk coding for the API to Let's Encrypt forces the use of port 80. Let's Encrypt supports validation of domains over 80 OR 443, but Plesk is requiring 80. The only workaround is to open 80 to the world so it can be validated since Let's Encrypt does supply a list of public IP's their traffic could source from.

19. Overuse Policy: Overuse is not allowed + Grace Period

    Right now there are 3 options:

    • Overuse is not allowed (this is preferred but will disable customers site once limit is hit)
    • Overuse of disk space and traffic is allowed
    • Overuse is allowed (not recommended)

    Scenario:

    A resellers Overuse Policy is set to:
    Overuse is not allowed

    That reseller has his warning set to 90% of his 10GB package.
    But on 1 day, one of his customers uploads 2GB.

    Effect: His total package has 12GB and the nightly run will disable his package, without warning.

    Result: The reseller is angry because all of his customers are offline,
    only because one person (unknowingly) made the reseller go over his limits.
    We are the "bad guys".

    Wanted effect:

    Plesk notice a sudden increase, but knows that it has not yet sent any warnings.
    Plesk sends a warning first, and waits x days untill it has sent x warnings to the reseller or customer. (grace period)

    In this way, we can tell a suspended reseller or customer that we have warned them, multiple days, before suspending anything.
    This helps us in not being the "bad guys".

    The way I see it would be like:

    • Overuse is not allowed
    • Overuse is not allowed (Grace Period) Allow the customer X days to be in overuse Notify customer by email in cases of overuse.
    • Overuse of disk space and traffic is allowed Notify customer by email in cases of overuse.
    • Overuse is allowed (not recommended) Notify customer by email in cases of overuse.
