  4. Add more command line options to configure Plesk

It´s very handy that many aspects of Plesk can be configured by command line. This makes configuring a new server quite comfortable as it´s way better than to click through all options. As we get new servers every now and then, it´s a real time saver.

But to perfect this, the following things should also be configurable via command line. At least I couldn´t find a way to do so already.

    Server Management > Tools & Settings >
    - Panel Branding
    - Notifications
    - System Time
    - Session Idle Time
    - Virus Protection Settings > Used antivirus

    For panel branding,…

  5. Make the "secure your sites" button display, but be un-clickable and greyed out, SSL

The Secure your sites SSL feature button should be visible, but greyed out, with a description at the bottom that says "You must have a dedicated IP to activate SSL" to prompt customers to follow the SSL setup in order and not attempt to create SSL certs without IP addresses.

  6. Webmail branding

I know that you can apply custom branding to Panel however I would like to see this extended to webmail. I'm currently on 11 and using AtMail which I have managed to get my own branding onto to an extent but it's a bit of a faff to do. I know 11.5 uses Roudcube so I hope it can also be customised. Some options in the 'branding' section of Panel would be very helpful. Thanks.

  7. Add possibility to set "Can be used to log in to Plesk" unchecked by default during mail account creation

Creating mail account In Plesk panel Domains > example.com > Mail accounts > Create Email Address has an option "Can be used to log in to Plesk" which is checked by default.
There can be a situation when you can by mistake leave the option checked but you don't plan to permit to log in to Plesk with created mail account.
So it would be convenient to have this option unchecked by default.

Logging in to Plesk as the mailbox user will only allow that user to edit his own settings of that mailbox, e.g. the password. The effect of this option is marginal. We are also only talking about a preset change from "checked" to "unchecked". It's only a mouseclick to uncheck the box, and when the default is changed to "unchecked" other users will complain that they now need to check this box each time they add a mailbox.

As this feature did not become popular and as the setting is already optional we must decline it.

  11. Disable PHP's open.base_dir restriction by default

Every configured hosting/website gets their proper own user with their own permissions. If you run your website with the PHP-FPM handler, the processes properly run with this very user.
Why is there still open.base_dir restrictions applied by default? I don't really see the point.

Why am I asking? Enabling open.basedir has a massively (!) negative impact on performance. PHP's internal realpath cache is automatically disabled when open.basedir is activated which slows down all the file operation calls tremendously.
As the user permissions are properly set up, this is imho a missed opportunity for free performance gains.

Plesk acknowledges that there has been a discussion in the PHP community to remove open_basedir from newer PHP versions, but even PHP developers came to the conclusion that it should not be removed. Yes, there are performance impacts, but with all types of security software like network filters, e.g. iptables (and Fail2Ban log analyzer), ModSecurity and antivirus solutions this is just normal and expected. Plesk puts security first, and if there are options to make a site more secure, we'll always prefer these options. open_basedir may not be the best security feature, but it adds some security. This request has not gained much popularity during the past years either. For these reasons we must decline it.

  14. A feature that enables storing logs, complaint and non-complaint to GDPR in Windows.

The idea is to have non-compliant GDPR logs so debugging can be done and compliant GDPR logs that don't contain IPs for example.

  20. Filter POST and PUT requests, but keep GET available

It is needed to block PUT and POST requests from specific country, but keep GET available. For example, I do not want China to send POST and PUT to my server, but they are free to send GET in order to receive website's content.
