  1. Alternative functionality for configuring FTP backup storage instead of <backup-manager> operator.

There is a need for new functionality that allows us to configure FTP backup storage settings. Plesk UI is not an applicable way. As XMP-API <backup-manager> operator is deprecated in Plesk 17.8, alternative cli functionality is required to manage FTP backup storage settings. It was possible to perform via XML-API <set-remote-storage-settings> node of <backup-manager> operator.

  2. fail2ban - Add Details (Login Name)

Often large Companies with lot's of Workstation are getting blocked because 1 Client in their Office is trying to log in with wrong Password (imap/pop/smtp) - then the whole Office of them is getting blocked and the search which PC/which User is causing the block.starts ...
It would help big times if one got a reference which Login Name / Username caused the block as additional Info next to the IP ...
Won't help on Brute Force Attacks where the Username changes ... but on this Scenario it would be a big Timesaver ...

  3. Add option to use subscription username as a database prefix (ex. mydomain_wordpress)

We can use customer username as a database prefix, however customer username is not descriptive enough comparing to subscription username.

Please add option to use subscription username as a database prefix.

  4. NodeJS Allow more environment variables

When setting environment on a NodeJS App (using NodeJS extension) I am getting to the limit of four variables, sometimes five.

I assume that line ending is reached or something. I am connecting to several mongodb databases and for each db I need to auth which is set within an environment variable.

This limits my app a lot since I need to build overcomplicated workarounds using files to be loaded async and their content to be validated, then connecting to the db and so on.

  6. website importing with different ip for ftp and www

The current website import function only allows entry of the source domain name.
I need to specify the ftp server details separately as for some hosts the ftp server is on a different ip to the website and the current import function fails as it fails to access either the website or ftp server depending on which info was entered as the source domain.

  7. Offer proper sftp support through mysecureshell

It would be nice if Plesk by default installed sftp server software (such as http://mysecureshell.readthedocs.io/en/latest/ ) that allows granting the user sftp access to his home directory only, without having to grant the user full SSH shell access.

Right now Plesk seems to be promoting FTPS as alternative for securely transfering files, but that simply does not work properly when the end-user has a firewall or NAT setup. Or when you have iptables rules on the server.
This is caused by that FTPS uses multiple TCP ports like normal FTP.
However because the control connection traffic is encrypted, firewall software…

  10. sort, archive or filter (not spam) email on server directly when received

I'm using different (imap) clients on different devices to read emails. Many of them can be sorted / filtered / archived in specific subfolders by subject, sender or similar.
Most - but not all - clients can be configured to do so - but this means also to reconfigure several clients on rule changes.

So i'd like to suggest the possibility to handle emails on receiving on the server.
    E.g:
    - if sender ends with "domain.foo" or subject contains "project bar" then move to folder bar and mark as read
    - if sender is "foo@domain.bar" forward to "…

  11. Add event handlers per domain for switching mail service on/off

It'd be really useful to be able to call handlers for when the mail service for a domain is switched on/off. The only variable needed is probably the domain name. The on/off handlers should be available for both domain and subdomain.

  13. Allow SMTP authentication with incoming mail disabled

Having the mail server enabled for a domain makes all mail go to it internally, even if the MX records of the domain point to another server.

The option to disable incoming mail resolves this, but doesn't allow Plesk to send mail over SMTP for that domain, only PHP mail.

This is not preferable because this mail can't be encrypted nor signed with DKIM. Therefore, for security, Plesk should have an option to disable incoming mail while still allowing SMTP delivery by using the public MX records.

  14. Queue emails over limit in a domain instead of defearring

If you have activated a limit and the limit is reached, all further mails are rejected. It would be good if for these emails to remain in the mail queue and be sent automatically after the set time for the limit has expired.

  15. Import existing accounts from SmarterMail remote to Plesk

We have a remote server for mail with SmarterMail. We have a problem, when the clients creates an account from SmarterMail, there is no automatic script or something from Plesk that synchronises all the accounts.

  16. Add backup restore (sw-tar) multithreading

Plesk uses its internal sw-tar program for unpacking backups, which currently lacks multithreading support. This results in a significantly slower recovery process when handling a large number of files or large data volumes.

Given the continuously growing data volumes and increasing file sizes, it is time to implement this feature.

  17. Introduce other MFA methods besides the phone app

As for now, MFA extension is limited only to a phone app. It would be useful to introduce other authorization methods (e.g. mail) for this extension.

  19. Support for HTTP/2 on apache (without using nginx as proxy)

    Hi,
It seems some Plesk users would like to have support for HTTP/2 on apache directly (without using nginx as a proxy).
We do not clearly understand cases when it is required. Why using nginx as a proxy in front of the Apache is not an option? Could you please let us know how this feature should work in terms of workflow, in your opinion? We welcome any feedback and would be happy to receive examples to investigate the question in more detail.

  20. WP Toolkit default update settings

I would like to enable all "Security Measures" by default, and enable smart update, and auto update for all new plugins and themes by default. Also I would like to force update security updates by default.
