    Additional information regarding this request:

Please be sure you are an owner of IP-address if you plan to vote this suggestion.

An owner of a block of IP-addresses has ability configure PTR records for IP-addresses in the block. If you rent a server or create a virtual machine in a cloud, you are not an owner of IP-address.

Usually, companies like ISP or Cloud Providers own blocks of IP-addresses. In this case, you need to use Hosting/Cloud Provider Control Panel and set up reverse zone for an IP-address (not in Plesk Panel).

PS there would be an option to include only or exclude folders from the scan.

The user would log into hosting and have a section titled.

    Image optimisations.

Clicking this will bring a front end to the tools

    jpegoptim, optipng, gifsicle.

With option to compress image quality, from 0-100% and other options like stripping exim information.

Once all options are selected, a taskbar will report progress and when ended a final report will show optimizations and space saved.

Ps there are many script examples out there for controlling these tools

    https://gist.github.com/kogakure/8021499

For example, If these were added to Plesk it would really help with optimizing images for SEO as well as reducing website disk usage and bandwidth.

The server admin or domain user should be able to run a JPG, GIF or PNG optimizer via the control panel. To optimize images.

After it is run it should give a report. The user should be able to control image quality and other features from a single control panel which would be a front end for jpegoptim, optipng, gifsicle or a similar set of tools.

I see plesk 12.5 has many options for nginx and php-fpm now in relation to php version.

I would still keep my vote on varnish as i think it would be good for people with really badly configured servers to get better performance easily. ;)

Ps this would be good for me instance. Nginx PHP needs php 5.3. Getting seriously old. Will be updating to newest magento that needs 5.4 Min. I would have the option of placing Varnish infront of apache and using any php verison i needed. Same for many other apps.

As magento 2.0 will feature varnish 4 compatibility, this could be a good option, to run varnish in front of nginx or apache. Or both would be good options.

Benchmarks i have seen have not shown varnish to be that much faster than nginx for magento, but im pretty sure this is a feature many people want and it maybe better in other bench marks.

Myself i would maybe not use varnish, as my servers runs amazingly with nginx. But it would be a great tool to run infront of apache giving access to more php versions for customers that need it etc and giving them a powerful caching front end, giving plesk more versatility and appealing to more customers.

Varnish is a nightmare especially for carts like Magento, there are already magento extension that do the same thing as varnish without all the hassle for really low prices. This is just a total waste of time.

We hear you and see a clear demand for this feature.

I want to say that implementing these features requires a lot of investment, and in 2021 Plesk team keeps focusing on the delivery of other improvements (sad, but true).

We will back to the re-evaluation of these features at the beginning of the next year.

Please continue to share your use cases and requirements, and it would really helpful if you point to existing solutions that we can review and check before implementation.

Your feedback is important to us. Thank you, everyone.

This would perhaps also be good in a load balancer situation.
