  1. Complete DMARC Support

The DMARC support in Plesk Onyx 17.5.3 ist incomplete. If an incoming email is rejected due to a DMARC fail there is no mailer daemon generated to inform the sender of this email.

Please add this important feature to DMARC support. Otherwise it would not be usable for most customers.

  2. show the last time a mailbox was accessed by the user

This would allow you to see mailboxes that are no longer in use.

  3. Enable email subject and keywords to be blocked in spamfilter

Allow users and admin to select subject lines and keywords as well as keywords in the email body to be added to the spamfilter blacklist.

Currently spammers are just changing domains and sending the same email templates.

  5. Outgoing Mail Control collect sample of offending emails

When Outgoing Mail Control detects a user abusing the sending limits, it would be helpful for the emails that are sent beyond the limit to be sampled in some way: To: From: Subject: Headers, possibly the first line of the email, origination ip address of the offending email.

This information can help the admin decide if it was the user just sending to many emails or if the email has been compromised and needs to be addressed.

As a similar but different idea, emails beyond the limit could be cached for a short time to allow the administrator to decide…

  6. More control of DKIM

We could really do with more control of DKIM, for example...

    1. Ability to control key length 1024Bit or 2048Bit (server wide)

    2. Enable subdomain signing, while you can't create email accounts for subdomains in Plesk, it's often the case that the server is named as a subdomain eg: mail.example.com Which means unsigned mail leaving the server (cron etc) even when example.com is hosted.

    3. The standard OpenDKIM package allows you to add it to nonsmtpdmilters so sendmail mail gets signed.

    4. Ability to change the selector.

We really can't have mail leaving servers not being signed...it defeats the whole point in…

"4. Ability to change the [DKIM] selector"

is available since Plesk 18.0.56, published Ocotber 10th, 2023

  7. Allow using a centralized SmarterMail Server for BOTH LINUX and WINDOWS Plesk installations

The implementation of the centralized smartermail in plesk onyx for windows is good, but it should also be possible to integrate this feature into the linux edition.

Many hosters provide both windows and linux hosting with ONE centralised mail solution. Since the integration for winodws is already done I suppose it shouldn't be too hard to integrate it into the linux version as well since smartermail is completely API based.

  8. Add Exchange Server 2013 Integration

I would love to use exchange server 2013 while using plesk panel. Exchange server is by far the most superior email server for windows and would be a great addition to plesk panel.

I believe that there is also an open API or an easy way to send commands which would make it a lot easier to integrate with.

  9. use Plesk as Backup MX server

Please allow usage of Plesk Onyx (postfix) as Backup MX server

at the moment it is not possible to configure Plesk Onyx as Backup MX server, so even I have multiple Plesk servers available, when main production server is down, all e-mails in that time-frame is lost :((

if we could setup Plesk as Backup MX server, that would give us some redundancy so e-mail should be fine on backup mx server, until primary mx comes back online

  13. Add the ability to enable or disable Plesk Premium Email for particular mailboxes

Currently, Plesk Premium Email can be enabled only for a subscription.
But Plesk Premium Email license differ by a number of users, so, to not exceed the license limit, it'll be handy to define which particular mailboxes on a subscription have the ability to use Plesk Premium Email

  14. Fully Customizable Autodiscover Settings

Could you please allow some (or all) of the new Obsidian Autodiscover settings to be customizable at a Subscription or Domain level? Here is a list of things we need:

    1) Specify POP or IMAP or BOTH incoming server types.
    2) Specify custom domain prefixes for incoming and outgoing servers. (ie: mail.domain.ext or smtp.domain.ext or etc, etc...)
    3) Specify custom port numbers for both incoming and outgoing servers. (so we may specify exactly what kind of security is enabled or not)
    4) Any other settings that can be customized but are of lesser importance.

Please, if you are concerned, allow…

  15. Don't send Auto-Reply when message detected as spam

Don't send Auto-Reply when message detected as spam

When a mail account has Auto-Reply and Spamassassin enabled, the Auto-Reply function should read the x-spam header and, if the incoming message was found to be spam, the automatic response should not be sent.

At the moment I often see Automatic replies stuck in the outgoing mail queue because they're being sent to spammers. This is silly!

  16. Add two score thresholds to spamassassin

    If the spam score is above the first threshhold, flag the message as spam or deliver it to Spam folder;

Reject it immediately (preferably during the SMTP session) or just discard if the score is above the second, higher threshold.

This way the customer would have more control over the anti-spam system, allowing much less true spam mail to enter the mailbox.

  18. Roundcube Settings Sync

Many of our clients have requested the ability to manage their email configuration options through webmail, rather than via Plesk. I'd like the option to allow mail users to manage their account themselves via a Plesk Roundcube plugin that provides the following options:

    1. Setting up an Autoresponder
    2. Configuring forwarding / redirects
    3. Changing their password

Others that would be handy as well:

    A. Managing server-side mail filtering (whenever this becomes available in Plesk at all)
    B. Spamassassin training

  19. to disable mail forwarding to certain domains in Plesk Panel

Add a setting to disable mail forwarding to certain domains in Panel for global configuration so that on user side wont be allowed to put the certain domains in the Forwarding Email in the Plesk Panel. Thank you.

  20. Enable fetchmail feature

I would like to enable and configure fetchmail on mailbox level. Main reason is easy migration for customers to new hosting providers including moving mails from existing mail servers.

"fetchmail" is already installed together with PLESK, needs just to get properly configured.
