Support incremental backup for mail content
Nowadays, many users are using IMAP, maybe because is the default setting in many popular email clients (Mozilla Thunderbird, and I remember Mail on Windows 8.1 didn't support POP3 at all).
Mail content usually grow but previously stored messages doesn't change often. In Maildir format, used by Plesk, qmail and Postfix, when an user got new mails, new files with unique name are added on disk, and only some files are changed (basically, only courier-imap and dovecot caches and indexes, perhaps easy to rebuild from scratch).
So, please, support incremental backup for mail content too
69 votesThis feature was implemented a very long time ago, but we missed updating the feature request entry accordingly. Please excuse the delay. The reason that it was missed was probably that back then a huge number of users were still using the mbox mail storage format. There it was not possible to get a delta of mails.
In Plesk Obsidian an incremental backup includes mail data changed since the time of the last backup (full and incremental).

Enable IPv6 by default for a domain when an IPv6 address exists
When adding a new subscription, the value for IPv6 address is set to "none" even if the server has assigned an IPv6 address (and other domains already use it).
It's time for Plesk to enable IPv6 by default for new domains, the same way it does for IPv4.
66 votesThe feature is available in 18.0.49, but disabled by default. To enable it, add the following lines to the panel.ini file:
[domainManagement]
settings.autoSelectIpv6 = on

Enable sending e-mails to same domain on external server even if Mail service is enabled for a domain
As more and more customers move to G Suite and Office 365, there is a need to send authenticated emails from local SMTP to external server that handles same domain.
Lets say example.com has a WordPress installation that sends notifications, order confirmations, form confirmations, ... to avoid spam and meet best practices, I will create local e-mail account mail@example.com.
If domain has G Suite hosting info@example.com, emails from mail@example.com will not be delivered, because of Plesk's setup.
As long as mail is enabled locally, one will get error: Recipient address rejected: User unknown in virtual mailbox table; even…
57 votesSince early 2023 a third option between "Enabled" and "Not configured" for the "Mail Settings" in a domain was added: "Disabled for incoming mail". This lets you send emails from your domain through sendmail with authentication and also lets you send mails through the PHP mail() function, but it does not deliver these mails locally. This solves the issue where mail domains are located elsewhere while a website generates emails from forms or other application scenarios.
We'll be happy to read your comments if you have additional requirements.

Display DKIM Public Key in the Web Interface
Currently the only way to get the DKIM key is to decode the private key from the shell when using an external DNS service, however it would be nice if the public key is just being displayed in the web interface so the user can see it and add it to the external DNS.
56 votesStarting from Plesk Obsidian 18.0.35 DKIM public key is shown in the pop-up window on the Mail Settings page of the particular domain.

Support server-side e-mail rules
Most e-mail clients support configuring rules to automatically perform actions on incoming messages based on certain criteria. You could for instance have a rule that automatically moves a message into a folder based on the address of the sender, a rule that automatically deletes a message if it contains certain words in the subject, etc. Since most people are using multiple e-mail clients it's impractical to configure your rules in all of the clients you use (webmail, phone, desktop, etc.), so it would be great if Plesk allowed these rules to be configured server-side.
49 votesServer-side email rules are available with new Dovecot server in the latest Plesk 12.0 preview.

support Rocky Linux
Rocky Linux is bug-for-bug compatible with already supported OS (RHEL, and by extension since AlmaLinux makes the same claim - that too).
However, unlike RHEL and AlmaLinux, Rocky has broad industry support sponsored by Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Fastly etc. so I would like to see Plesk officially add support for Rocky.

(De-)Activate mail service per domain ONLY
Currently you can deactivate email per subscription in mail settings, or use the Plesk command-lint utility domain with the appropriate settings. It would be more convenient to have a checkbox under the domain settings, or under Mail with a domain selection box.

custom dkim selector name
It's a shame you are obliged to have a DKIM selector (key) name of 'default', and there is no ability to rotate keys as once you update the 'dafault' key will change value, meaning messages sent under the prior key, also called 'default', will fail.
GMail offers a nice option where you specify the selector name and so can rotate keys nicely. O365 has a more basis scheme were keys have to be called selevtor1 and selector2 (from memory), flip-flopping between the two. Not elegant.
Gmail is the way to go...
- Enable DKIM
- What would you like your…45 votesSince Plesk 18.0.56, published October 10th, 2023, It is possible to change the default DKIM selector to a custom one for a single domain or all new domains hosted on the server.
You specify a custom DKIM selector for a domain in the domain’s mail settings. To specify a custom DKIM selector for all new domains, add lines of the following pattern to the panel.ini file:
[mail]
dkimDefaultSelector = newselector
