Git Workflow: DEVELOPMENT > PRODUCTION
Many developers use git these days when working on a website or webapp. It would be great if Plesk supports a simple deployment workflow:
Example when using two branches:
- development
- masterBranch "development" will be automatically deployed by Plesk to /var/www/vhosts/example.com/dev.example.com => connected to https://dev.example.com
Branch "master" will be automatically deployed by Plesk to /var/www/vhosts/example.com/httpdocs => connected to https://www.example.comWhat about database connectivity?
When using different databases for development and master you should not include your "database-connection.ini" into git but manually store it in the designated directory and edit via Plesk File Manager…24 votesThank you for your input! Allow restoration of manaully migrated data in new Plesk Migrator extension
The old Migration and Transfer agent to migrate data that had already been created by using the PleskX.pl migration script by selecting the option in the migration wizard.
The new Plesk Migrator does not support this feature thus the manual method of migration is no longer available in Plesk 12.5 (as per below KB artilcle):
1 voteSorry, but we don’t plan to implement this functionality in the new Plesk Migrator extension.
Please use old migration tool to migrate to Plesk 12.0, and then upgrade Plesk to version 12.5.

Polyfilling support implementation, Safari 12.x
Implement polyfilling support so that Safari 12.x can be used to access and use Plesk Obsidian. It's observed that polyfilling support is implemented but not everywhere: at least Domains and Customers tabs are not displayed.

Custom URL redirects: variability of both source URL and destination URL and the ability to create more than one redirect.
It would have been amazing if plesk users and admins were able to easily and via the panel create domain redirection like you are able to do in cpanel. http://prntscr.com/1k9mql
This saves a lot of time from users and hosting companies helpdesks.27 votesIn the initital feature request it was not clear that the focus was on a regex driven, variable redirect that depends on source URLs and should be able to provide a mapping between source and target. It is also requested that these redirects shall be done on the front-end web server level, not as an Apache .htaccess solution.
We have re-opened the request as per user comment it was clarified thoroughly. We will consider this functionality in upcoming releases if it will be popular.
Everyone, please continue voting for this feature if you consider it important.

Allow configuring additional storage for Acronis Backup extension users
Acronis allows setting up additional storages for backups https://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/documentation/AcronisCyberCloud/#managing-locations-and-storage.html
Currently, the way Plesk defines integration with Acronis, Acronis extensions users can't do this.

Extensions actions written in action log
To let the extensions log/note the actions in the Plesk's action log.
As of now, on any extension, a user can do any action without acknowledgment of what has been done.
For security purposes, it is desired to know what actions has been done in Plesk, and installed extensions.

Implement the ability to remove the default certificate from newly created domains.
When creating a default server certificate within "Tools & Settings > SSL/TLS Certificates" it appears for all domains created, even those domains which doesn't match with the server certificate name.
Implementing a feature at "SSL/TLS Certificates" to avoid displaying the default server certificate for customers within "Domain > example.com > Hosting Settings > Security" can avoid having a customer use a certificate which doesn't match with their domain.

Make it possible to change the directory of extension data.
I would suggest to make it available to change the data directory for extensions. For example in case of the SEO Toolkit:
It will save data in /usr/local/psa/var/modules/xovi/, but I would prefere it to be saved in /var/plesk/module/xovi.1 voteUpd: Sorry, we are closing the request as no information were provided for over a month.

steering allowed SSLCiphers (negative >noCBC; positive >only GCM) for all System-layers (mail, Plesk-Login, Apache, Nginx) via Plesk
Optimizing the Quality of SSL-/TLS-Encryption at Plesk-driven Servers is very complicated...
... while the importance of a high-level encryption - not only since Edward Snowden - is of considerable importance.
please investigate:
and
http://www.kuketz-blog.de/nsa-abhoersichere-ssl-verschluesselung-fuer-apache-und-nginx/ (best article / only available in german)
Please implement the possibility for defining/steering not/allowed Ciphers and not/allowed SSL-protocols directly via PleskPanel.
This function should include ALL System-layers like: mail, webmail, Plesk-Login, SSH, PHP- or JAVA-Apps/Tomcat, Apache, Nginx, ...
THANK YOU VERY MUCH
30 votesOver the course of nine years this feature request has only received a handful of votes - although we had merged it with a similar request to get the full number of votes for both. We basically understand the need for top level security, but this feature seems not to be popular among users.
Even the rather extreme kuketz-blog article says: "The technology for protection against spying is available – but hardly anyone uses it." which is another indication that hardly anyone is interested in specific configurations that harden servers to the extent where powerful players have difficulties reading traffic.
Plesk allows using a "perfect security" configuration, but it seems that only very few individuals are actually interested in it and understand why this can make sense in some cases. As a responsible administrator who wants to provide perfect security to users you can implement it into your server along…
