Support MySQL 8
I would like to see support for the upcoming MySQL 8.
Currently there is no support inside plesk and using a possible workaround with docker isn't possible out of the box.MySQL Community Server 8.0.4 is already a Release Candidate.
80 votesPlesk now supports MySQL 8 as the local (Plesk for Linux) and the remote database server – https://docs.plesk.com/release-notes/obsidian/change-log/#plesk-18033

Please remove the very annoying suggestion window when creating support tickets
It's really very annoying if the input field in the right area is reduced again and again when opening support tickets in order to offer unsuitable support articles. If the articles were at least helpful, the whole thing would still make sense. However, this is rarely the case. Even if you click it away and enter a new word, it will reappear immediately.
5 votesHi, these suggestions are a part of a whole searching process on the Plesk Help Center website. It helps us in analysing what people search and it also helps people with suggestions. It is very important for us.
We will work on search improvements to show better results. Thank you for your feedback.

Allow both HTTP and HTTPS version of websites to be forwarded. It's 2018, this is vital.
This is all about security, it's simply not a fully developed product without this facility and I am hugely shocked and surprised it doesn't already exist.

The ability to add metadata to the header of File Sharing
I would like to be able to add metadata to the header of File Sharing.
Currently as I can see the file, where such changes can be done, is hardcoded, so it will be perfect if I can do such changes in Plesk directly.
Thank you.1 voteThe File Sharing component has been deprecated and will be removed soon. https://docs.plesk.com/release-notes/obsidian/deprecation-plan/

Enable Mail DKIM signing by default
I suggest to add an option to Plesk Service Plans to enable DKIM signing when creating a new hosting package.
Right now we have to manually enable DKIM signing for every new hosting account after creation.
This should be inside a Service Plan under tab: Mail
14 votesSince Plesk Obsidian 18.0.50 DKIM is turned on for all domains that are newly added and have their DNS managed by the same server.

better backup priority settings to include nice and ionice
Currently it seems the backup priority only takes CPU into account and not I/O
I would prefer the backup low priority settings to be changed into specific values. For example
CPU PRIORITY -> Select Box with options 1-19
IO Class -> Select Box with options 1-3
IO Priority-> Select Box with options 1-71 means realtime and the higher the number the less important is the task.
Then this can be converted into custom commands depending on the user needs like:
nice -n{CPU PRIORITY} ionice -c{I/O CLASS} -n{I/O Priority} <backup task command>
For example one could set like this
nice…
15 votesAlready implemented since Plesk Obsidian version.

Plesk Let's Encrypt and support for ECDSA certificates
As you probably know, Let's Encrypt supports ECDSA certificates. Shorter handshake time, fewer data to transfer, faster page load time in the result.
I suggest Plesk feature - add option choose between RSA and ECDSA certificate when signing with Let's Encrypt.
Best regards, Mike
24 votes2.7.2 (17 January 2019)
• [*] In Plesk for Linux 17.8 and later, the extension now supports issuing ECDSA certificates. To have the extension issue certificates signed with ECDSA, add the following lines to the panel.ini file:[ext-letsencrypt]
key-algorithm = ECDSA
ecdsa-curve-name = prime256v1 ; can be omittedIf you have any feedback let’s discuss it on our forum: https://talk.plesk.com/threads/lets-encrypt-extension.336954/

Use "Let's encrypt" to secure IMAP/POP/SMTP connections
Use "Let's encrypt" to secure IMAP/POP/SMTP connections to avoid "non valid certificate" messages with self signed certs.

Plesk API - support for Wordpress cloning
I suggest creating an option to use Plesk API for cloning a Wordpress installation. This is well easy now in GUI environment but does not support third-party dashboard integration.
It would be great to implement this into Plesk API so clients would be able to create staging environment on one click without a need to login to the Plesk interface.

Ability to add sets to existing WordPress instance via Toolkit
It would be great to have the ability to add sets to existing WordPress instance via Toolkit. On most occasions when we place an existing WordPress site under management have have a pre defined set of plugins we install. These need to be installed one at a time or via script. A number of developers have also expressed ability to install their own sets to an existing WordPress instance.
4 votesHi everyone,
The ability to install sets on existing sites was added for Server Administrators in WPT v4.4.0. Go to the Sets tab and click on the ‘…’ button corresponding to the required set to see the Install Set button. Let us know what you think!

Allow Plesk to use a clustered MySQL Server (Galera)
According to a ticket I just opened (80693) Plesk currently doesn't support a clustered MySQL server, e.g. an active/active Galera cluster.
To avoid data-loss or corruption in a server crash, I'd like to run MySQL in a Galera cluster to automatically sync the data again once Plesk's MySQL started after a crash.99 votesThis functionality is now available in the latest Plesk Obsidian 18.0.49 ("Added the ability to run Plesk with a centralized database"). The feature is currently in Beta. We encourage you to check the implementation and let us know what you think. All required information could be found in Plesk Documentation by the link https://docs.plesk.com/en-US/obsidian/deployment-guide/plesk-for-linux-plesk-installation-without-the-local-database.79703/
We would appreciate hearing your feedback on the implementation of this functionality. Thanks in advance!

Show selected items when removing Service Plan, Subscription, Customer, Domain or Reseller
Currently, when trying to remove any Service Plan, Subscription, Domain, Customer or Reseller, the following text is shown:
"Confirm that you want to remove the selected domains"
However, it would be perfect to show the selected items and the selected quantity.
2 votesThe improvement is available since Plesk 18.0.38 version (#PPP-54062).

Display DKIM Public Key in the Web Interface
Currently the only way to get the DKIM key is to decode the private key from the shell when using an external DNS service, however it would be nice if the public key is just being displayed in the web interface so the user can see it and add it to the external DNS.
56 votesStarting from Plesk Obsidian 18.0.35 DKIM public key is shown in the pop-up window on the Mail Settings page of the particular domain.
