use Plesk as Backup MX server
Please allow usage of Plesk Onyx (postfix) as Backup MX server
at the moment it is not possible to configure Plesk Onyx as Backup MX server, so even I have multiple Plesk servers available, when main production server is down, all e-mails in that time-frame is lost :((
if we could setup Plesk as Backup MX server, that would give us some redundancy so e-mail should be fine on backup mx server, until primary mx comes back online

I have been having all of my users use a sentence for their passwords. without spaces this is really going to confuse them. Just switching to plesk now.

Remote logging feature for plesk
Due to compliance logging in the server is not acceptable. We need an option to redirect all plesk logs to syslog so that we can redirect the logs to remote server using syslog.

Set right ciphers by default on Windows
There is a documentation how to do it manually: https://docs.plesk.com/en-US/onyx/administrator-guide/plesk-administration/securing-plesk/pci-dss-compliance/tune-plesk-to-meet-pci-dss-on-windows.78901/
but there is no tool to do it automatically (and by default during the installation).
4 votesAFAIU, the request is about right ciphers for SSL configuration. We have a documentation how to do it manually: https://docs.plesk.com/en-US/onyx/administrator-guide/plesk-administration/securing-plesk/pci-dss-compliance/tune-plesk-to-meet-pci-dss-on-windows.78901/ but have no tool to do it automatically, so, this is a valid request, we’ll look into it.
There is no ETA at the moment, but we would really appreciate you voting for this request so that we can accurately assess its popularity relative to other features. Thanks in advance!

Ability to customize nginx per site template e.g. Location /, Location ~, etc
Hello, I'm using Plesk Onyx and I've also bumped into problems with not being able to set correct NGINX Directives.
Regarding nginx and nginx configuration for various CMS, Web Apps etc, I see that a lot of directives need to be set and there are a lot of scattered issues around in the web.
For example most CMS will require a
location / { ... }
or for google's pagespeed test we need to add expire headers e.g.
location ~* .*.(jpg|jpeg|png|gif|ico|css|js)$ {
expires 14d;
}I think the Model to building the final vhost conf file should be revised instead…

Support for Helicon Ape
Helicon Ape is a great tools for the support of .htaccess with IIS. I was really surprised, that Plesk does not support it yet.
We like to move from WSP to Plesk, but we need support For Helicon Ape.
Plesk should allow to edit .htaccess from the UI.

It might be usefull to create one or more Global FTP(S) accounts which can access all the vhost directories. In addition an IP Whitelisting filter might be desirable to additionally protect access.

Please note that STARTSSL is a service of StartCom and there are issues with them to stay in CA role http://www.pcworld.com/article/3129725/certificate-policy-violations-force-reform-at-startcom-and-wosign.html so STARTSSL support will not be implemented in Plesk.

making the internet safer, one IP at a time35 votesWe will consider this functionality in upcoming releases if it will be popular. However, in part of integration with 3rd party, probably it will be faster if you create Plesk extension. Please refer to https://docs.plesk.com/en-US/17.0/extensions-guide/what-are-plesk-extensions%3F.76331/ to know how.

Add ip manually to fail2ban
It is not possible to add an ip manually to fail2ban trough Plesk interface. Sometimes you detect an offending ip address which you want to ban from your system, before it is detected by recidive rule.

Allow using a centralized SmarterMail Server for BOTH LINUX and WINDOWS Plesk installations
The implementation of the centralized smartermail in plesk onyx for windows is good, but it should also be possible to integrate this feature into the linux edition.
Many hosters provide both windows and linux hosting with ONE centralised mail solution. Since the integration for winodws is already done I suppose it shouldn't be too hard to integrate it into the linux version as well since smartermail is completely API based.

Allow Let's Encrypt to validate over 80 or 443 (not just 80)
We're very excited to see Let's Encrypt in Plesk 17, it makes secure sites much, much easier. However, port 80 is not open on a number of our servers for security reasons and it would appear the Plesk coding for the API to Let's Encrypt forces the use of port 80. Let's Encrypt supports validation of domains over 80 OR 443, but Plesk is requiring 80. The only workaround is to open 80 to the world so it can be validated since Let's Encrypt does supply a list of public IP's their traffic could source from.
