  2. Secure RDP using the Panel LetsEncrypt Certificate.

Not sure if this is doable and when I asked support they suggested I post it here. Currently I need to purchase a certificate to stop the RDP Client nagging that the certificate is self signed when I connect to the server via RDP. Thought it may be possible to allow the same certificate used for the panel (or even a new one) that could be used to secure RDP instead.

  3. Lock DNS records | Disable Reset to default

We have the "dmarc"- record in our template having a placeholder for the value. At the time the Record "dmarc" was edited by adding the value, mostly every DNS record is no more in the state of the DNS template.

Therefore it is important to have some policies:
    - The button "Reset to default" can be disabled on Admin and Reseller level.
    - The button "Master/*****" can be disabled. Usually this functionality is not needed.
    - For certain very important DNS setting, a "Lock" button might make sense. If applied, this record can not be edited anymore by…

In WP Multisite installations you have one single WP controlling many different websites and domains. "Cloning" a multisite installation seems to be a challenge, because when you clone a site, you need to mention a target where to clone the site to (a new URL, a new subdomain). As a multisite installation has many URLs, it seems impossible to clone these to one single domain. It will be unclear which domain is actually cloned or how to map source to target.

But as always, we're open for ideas and would love to hear more details from you how you imagine the workflow. Please describe in your comments what you expect to happen when you clone a multisite installation, e.g. how you'd want to map source to target(s). Would you for example want to see a dialog where you can enter new domains and subdomains for each existing URL in the…

Right now, these accounts are not migrated because Plesk cannot store hashed passwords for system users

  7. Add hide "Hard quota on disk space" notice option for customer

Permission "Hard disk quota assignment" does not allow to manage "Hard quota on disk space" for customer, but it doesn't hide "Hard quota on disk space" notice for customer in "Web Hosting Access"
It's required to hide this notice for customer.

  9. Let pci_compliance_resolver --enable postfix also set FORWARD SECURITY and go dor TLSv1.3

Even though server supports TLS 1.2, the cipher suite configuration is suboptimal. It is recommend to configure the server so that the cipher suites providing forward secrecy (ECDHE or DHE in the name, in this order of preference) and authenticated encryption (GCM or CHACHA20 in the name) are at the top. The server must also be configured to select the best-available suite!

    also there is TLSv3 https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc8446
(and draft is used already a long time by many;)

    http://www.postfix.org/TLS_README.html

And while Playing on Mailserver think about MTA Strict Transport Security (Draft standard) and Email DANE / TLSA.

  12. Anonymize IP in logs instead of disabling them completely

It would be great to have an option to anonymize IP addresses, not to disable it completely to get rid of issues with statistics displaying. For example as it is for Plesk on Linux.

Currently, Plesk for Windows has an option to completely disable IP addresses logging In Tools & Settings > Server Settings which affects web statistics.

  13. editable global mime types for apache (default for all virtual hosts)

By default, apache will return wrong mime types for some file extensions (for examples font files).

We can add additional mime types per website, however we can't edit them globally for all websites via plesk.

We can achieve this by editing /etc/apache2/conf-enabled/mime-types.conf manually from cli, however plesk could provide a more comfortable way to do it.

Please add option to edit global mime types that will be used by all virtual hosts by default and overridden if website has its own instructions.

  14. Allow resellers to unban IPs banned by Fail2Ban

    Hi.

It would be very usefull to be able to allow resellers to unban IPs banned by fail2ban.

This should be a given permission that would be given to specified resellers or even possibly to clients.

    Cheers.

  15. Add option to modify the upload_max_filesize and post_max_size Globally via Plesk Admin

Add the option to modify the uploadmaxfilesize and postmaxsize Globally via Plesk Admin > Tools & Settings > Mail Server Settings.
The "Maximum message size" is already a Global setting in "Mail Server Settings" and these 2 settings should also be there.
Currently the only way to modify these settings in Linux is via a command line in Terminal and Horde, RoundCube, & Kolab all use different php.ini files for these same settings. I believe it would make for a much more user friendly experience if these options were a Global Setting modified preferably via "Plesk…

  16. Offer proper sftp support through mysecureshell

It would be nice if Plesk by default installed sftp server software (such as http://mysecureshell.readthedocs.io/en/latest/ ) that allows granting the user sftp access to his home directory only, without having to grant the user full SSH shell access.

Right now Plesk seems to be promoting FTPS as alternative for securely transfering files, but that simply does not work properly when the end-user has a firewall or NAT setup. Or when you have iptables rules on the server.
This is caused by that FTPS uses multiple TCP ports like normal FTP.
However because the control connection traffic is encrypted, firewall software…

  17. Change database autogenerated name convention in APS

Installing Wordpress 8or other apps) via APS, the autogenerated database name is something like 'wordpress_N' with N incrementing from 1, that is non-sense and causes great troubles when using Plesk Migrator to migrate a subscription to another server when there are already installed applications.

You may name the database like 'wordpressX' with X random, or include part of the domain name in the database generated name, for example if domain is named testdomain.tld the db name maybe 'testdomainX'.

  19. System Updates and Extension Updates History

It would be nice to have a simple listing of the last 30 days or so history of System Updates and Extension Updates. Currently when Plesk updates System components or extensions automatically, we're left wondering what was updated, unless we dig into the server logs via command-line. Thanks for all your hard work BTW.
