1. Add debug symbols for nginx builds

   We have a customer using plesk and nginx. The customer wants to use our APM tool also for monitoring nginx, but in order to get deep monitoring we need the debug symbols for nginx.

   The customer is currently using package sw-nginx-1.9.4-rhel6.15091112.x86_64.rpm. The contained nginx binary does not contain debug symbols and we also could not find a corresponding “dbg” package in the repository. Are the debug symbols publicly available somewhere else? If not, can you please provide them?

   It would be perfect if you can add the debug symbols for every nginx version in future to your repository as APM monitoring tools like www.ruxit.com can use the debug symbols for adding monitoring hooks.

2. Send expiration notification emails when it’s time to renew an SSL certificate

   Hi,

   I received this mail from Let's Encrypt :

   "As a Let’s Encrypt Subscriber, you benefit from access to free, automated TLS certificates. One way we have supported Subscribers is by sending expiration notification emails when it’s time to renew a certificate.

   We’re writing to inform you that we intend to discontinue sending expiration notification emails."

   Since Plesk manager knows the "Valid to" date (it displays it in the "SSL/TLS Certificate for domain_name" page, I guess that it could send the notification emails too by regularly checking that date.

3. Remove All Files / Packages From The Previous Plesk Obsidian Release(s) As Part Of Plesk's Upgrade Process

   As per the title. When any Plesk Obsidian release is upgraded to the next release, many files and/or packages are simply left in place and not removed as part of the Plesk installation process. Without patient and time-consuming manual "clean-up" exercises, all of these now unused and non-functional files and/or packages, simply accumulate and (just like garden weeds do in the real world) take up useful and valuable server real estate, but for no purpose. It's a little surprising that this is still happening, when nearly all software packages provide this as a default action.

5. Custom HTTP methods on Windows Servers

   Only when Plesk creates a website will it create this entry at the website level in IIS in the handler mappings, pointing to this file "php-cgi.exe"

   There is no PHP handler in the IIS root that allows me to configure the allowed verbs and that can be propagated to websites.

   When Plesk creates a website, it has a set of settings that it applies to the website, which includes the creation of the handler to interpret .php files, the path of the executable that it installed itself and the allowed verbs.

   I know that after creating a website and only at the website level I can change the verbs in IIS.

   There should be a Plesk configuration file or option where you can define which PHP framework verbs (GET, UPDATE, POST, OPTIONS, etc) are allowed when a website is created.

6. Add Auto Install SiteJet Website Option to Plesk Service Plans

   Requesting a feature to add an option on the Plesk Service Plan "Additional Services" page to automatically install a SiteJet site. This would be similar to the same options that currently exists for WordPress from the WordPress Toolkit dropdown on that same page.

8. In this Free SSL era, customers should be able to install SSL certificates with API, for automation (like cPanel)

   Two issues I am facing with Plesk API for SSL certificate:

   1. The end user (customer) should have permission to manage SSL/TLS Certificates with API: The customer can install an SSL certificate with the GUI but not with API. My shared hosting provider has hidden the Let's Encrypt SSL option. I can install a LE SSL with the GUI. But manually renewing the SSL certificate every two months is a time-consuming task and if I forget to renew, the SSL will expire. If Plesk allows the end user (customer) to install SSL certificates with the API, I can easily automate the SSL renewal programmatically.

   Let's Encrypt advice for automatic renewal. In this Free SSL era, the end user (customer) should be able to automate SSL certificate installation with API.

   cPanel had this facility for the end users since 2017, if not earlier.

   1. Though Plesk Administrator and resellers can manage SSL/TLS Certificates with API, the "install certificates operation only installs a certificate to a repository, it does not enable SSL/TLS support for sites, therefore, it does not make sites available via the HTTPS protocol."

   In the Plesk GUI, the rest of the SSL installation is done with 'Hosting Settings': (a) by clicking SSL/TLS support checkbox and (b) by selecting the certificate with the drop-down menu (from the repository). But the second option is not available with the API. In the Hosting Settings (https://docs.plesk.com/en-US/obsidian/api-rpc/about-xml-api/reference/managing-sites-domains/site-settings/hosting.66557/#the-list-of-website-properties) API documentation, under 'The List of Website Properties', there is no property to select the certificate from the repository. Please fix it.

    can you add the option to the hsts switch to add preload option?

    i have to disable the hsts switch and manual add this option to the Nginx directive as so

12. Add IIS App Pool start/stop and recycle permissions separately from enable permission

    At the moment there is only one permission for IIS App Pool Management.

    It would be interesting if a subscription had the permission to start/stop or recycle their dedicated App Pools, but not to create new ones.

    In this scenario, there would be an option to provide the subscription with a single App Pool, and let them manage it, but not to create new App Pools.

14. Prevent users to be able to remove files from file manager

    Add the possibility to prevent/block any file or directory removal from within the File Manager in Plesk by the subscription/domain users.

    An example that could be applied is the same as it can be applied already for ProFTP config files as follows:

16. Separate mozilla tls cipher settings for web and mail

    Please separate the mozilla tls cipher settings for web and mail.
    Sometimes the old ciphers has to set only for mail and not for web.
    Additionally it would be great if the setting could available on domain basis.

17. Purge before restore (delete existing content before restoring from backup)

    If I want to restore all files of a domain because the website has been hacked.... default restoration will simply overwrite existing file.

    In the cased of a hacked website, hackers can add suspicious files on the domains and those files won't be remove upon restoration.

    It will be great to have an option allowing us to opt for a purge before restoration so that we can completely replace the files, databases, etc. and not simply overwrite existing files.

18. In-place dist-upgrade Windows Servers

    It would be nice if Plesk support such functionality. That help to avoid migrations to new server with higher version of OS. 19. Allow roles that are limited to managing specific domains within a subscription

    Allow creation of sub users with access to only one domain or subdomain inside the subscription

    If a customer owns a subscription with 2 or 3 domains it would be useful that a user for a webdev could be added so that he can manage the domain/subdomain not only from FTP but Dbs etc.

20. Webhosting Migration Windows with central Smartermail Server

    Make Migrations possible for Windows Plesk Hosting Servers with central Smartermail Server. right now it's not possible to move/migrate hosting from source to destination windows plesk server if same central remote smartermail mailserver is used. would be great if we could just move webhosting part from older windows to newer windows hosting server and let all mail accounts and mails untached on central remote smartermail server.
