  1. Nginx uploadprogress module

For Drupal and maybe for other web applications as well, to use and see the progress of files uploaded normally we need the nginx-upload-progress-module for Nginx.

Many alternative repos for rhel for example are integrating this to support Drupal hosting (and really this is important for us Drupal users/developers).

    This is from drupal.org:
    https://drupal.org/project/filefield_nginx_progress

That's the module we are using on Nginx with that module.

Other way would be if you would support official/3rd party Nginx builds and control it from Plesk (like Apache, PHP, MySQL is).

  2. Add Support for the Outlook Calendar HTML Format(e.g. add Signatures, Images in the Appointment Body)

When you have a Microsoft Account Email, you can add your Mail Signature, images, etc... to the Appointment, I'm guessing because it's HTML Format instead of Text only.

Could you implement having Appointments as HTML Format, and if so an Option for that to be synced with the Outlook Calendar.

Screenshot 1 is the Plesk Calendar, Second one is the Outlook one.
Although you can change the Plesk Calendar to HTML, it doesn't work, so i'm figuring it's not implemented yet

  3. support algorithm 16 (ed448) in DNSSEC

Recognising the increasing challenges in these times, would welcome the implementation of the Edwards-curve Digital Signature Algorithm (EdDSA) type ed448 for security and to keep ahead of the curve (sic.) on the cryptographic front...

interesting tool here too for those interested in checking out where they're up to with browser support (and to know the differences between the different algorithms): https://ed448.no/

  4. Add all PHP-FPM versions to watchdog when installed

When you install a new version of PHP through the plesk installer the new versions of php-fpm should be added to the watchdog extension. and in turn, the watchdog extension should check for what versions are installed when it is being installed.

    I found this: https://support.plesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000584394-Watchdog-extension-monitors-only-PHP-FPM-application-provided-by-OS-vendor-only
and it works fine, but the added PHP-FPM entries in the watchdog config file don't show up in watchdog.

to fix this, when installing php7x or 5x through plesk installer it should include adding creating a file called php-fpmXX.conf in /usr/local/psa/etc/modules/watchdog/service.d containing:

    plesk-php72-fpm

    check process plesk-php72-fpm
    with pidfile /var/run/plesk-php72-fpm.pid
    start =…

  5. add bzip2/xz compression support for backups

Would be nice to have the option to choose other compression formats for backups, especially bzip2 or xz. To reduce compression time, parallel implementations can be used (pbzip2 and pxz). Additionally there should be an option to set compression level (1-9).

  6. Restart interval for PHP-FPM services

Restart interval should be implemented for PHP-FPM services like it is done for Apache.
At the moment, each time when domain's PHP Settings are updated, PHP-FPM service is reloaded which causes the error 503 on websites.

If every person decided to make a small change in php settings daily it would mean 500 x 503 errors for all users daily. We host like 30 active sites and customize a few of them as developers so a few php changes (less than 10) is a daily occurence. Customers never fail to mention this to us because they may be…

The behavior with shared PHP-FPM handlers cannot be changed for technical reasons (they are shared).

Since Plesk Obsidian 18.0.39, published October 13th, 2021, it is possible to select dedicated PHP-FPM handlers. When a dedicated handler is selected, only that one process will be reloaded upon configuration changes.

  7. WordPress Toolkit: Add Remote Management for Reseller Plans

The "Remote Management" is currently beta but I want to add to keep in mind that such functionality will not only help the administrators but also reseller accounts. Please implement/activate that feature on go live latest for resellers as well

And later maybe for "normal" users but I it would therefore be nice to have an option to de/-activate using remote management within the hosting plans.

  8. Require domain TXT record verification before adding domain to Plesk.

Require domain TXT record verification before adding domain to Plesk.

Plesk need to implement an option to require domains to be verified like for example Let's Encrypt with a TXT record with a key value, that Plesk can check on an admin specified interval like 5 mins perhaps, with a self-cleaning feature that removes un-verified domains after X days.

So as Plesk administrator you can activate the domain verification option on subscription level, that requires the customers to verify their domain, when using the function "add domain".

So "add domain" should have an initial state of "awaiting verification" before it…

  10. Mod_pagespeed 'cache' clear button in speed settings panel

When tuning system for modpagespeed, http/2, PHP7 w/opcache, https, ran into issue with Apache, where turning modpagespeed off, then back on, or off then restarting doesn't clear cache. On a development site, I had to do a htaccess to fully disable in order to apply CSS changes which were 'stuck' -- a 'clear cache' option from panel would be super cool, vs command line ! :-)

  13. Provide more information about ALPN

The article "HTTP/2 Support now available for Plesk 12.5!" #128733 makes a passing reference to ALPN as follows: "What about ALPN Support? Answer: ALPN extension is available only since openssl v1.0.2 that is not supplied by OS vendors yet for those OSes that are supported in Plesk 12" ... please can someone translate this gibberish into a clearer explanation.

  17. Why not adding possibility to backup entire harddrive?

With plesk I can easily backup single domains. Thats really good but not really helpful as I need to backup entire server. I made a lot of custom changings directly on ssh. Why is there no function in plesk to backup the entire hard drive?

First – you can backup whole Plesk server (not only one domain) as administrator.
Second – you can’t backup hard drive where Plesk and many other processes are running. Backup will be inconsistent. Moreover, physical access to hard drive is required.
So, backup of hard drive is Linux administrator’s task but not Plesk administrator.

  19. S3 Storage with enabled Object Lock

AWS S3 Storage offers the Object Lock feature, which ensures that a file cannot be deleted within a certain time frame. This is ideal for protecting your Plesk backups from accidental manipulation or attackers.

However, to use this feature, the PUT request must include the checksum of the uploaded backup file. If this header is omitted, the following error message appears:

Transport error: Extension transport: ext://s3-backup/server/: Content-MD5 OR x-amz-checksum- HTTP header is required for Put Part requests with Object Lock parameters

Adding one of the headers described at https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonS3/latest/userguide/checking-object-integrity.html would solve this problem.

  20. Please make the "File Sharing" tab optional for different user roles

I would like this feature optional. I want a way to remove it from the plesk navigation depending upon the User Role.

The name can easily be confused with the "Files" tab which is what we use and encourage our clients to use.
