  2. nftables support (firewall)

Since 2014, with Linux kernel 3.13 and later, a new system for providing filtering and classification of network packets, datagrams and frames was introduced: nftables

It is stateful and more modular than iptables and does support IPv6.

As there are already packages for Archlinux or RHEL and so for CentOS and you can install on your own (of course), it would be great if in an upcoming (major) release iptables is replaced by nftables. Or a switch is implemented to use either the one or the other.

    More information on:
    https://wiki.nftables.org

  3. GDPR Compliance – Add Impressum & Privacy Policy Links to Plesk Login Page

To fully comply with GDPR requirements, it would be beneficial to have an option in Plesk that allows adding links to the Impress and Privacy Policy directly on the login page. This ensures that users have transparent access to privacy-related information before logging in.

    Requested Features:

Ability to specify Impressum and Privacy Policy URLs via the Plesk UI or a configuration file.
Display of these links at the bottom of the login page (e.g., as a footer or a separate section).
Optional: Customizable link text (e.g., "Impressum" and "Privacy Policy").

    Benefits:

Ensures GDPR compliance by making legal information easily accessible.…

  5. Allow csv export of IP Addresses for easy export to new server when setting up the configuration.

Allow for easy export of various values in Plesk as CSV values. In my case I am generating a yaml file for the server that I am migrating my Plesk server to that contains a lot of IP addresses. Plesk's migration extension is good, but it complains about the lack of available IP addresses on the new server, IP addresses we may not want active/live until the cutover from dev to prod.

I can copy/paste line by line so this is the lowest of low priorities for me.

At least three easy solutions already exist to export the list of IP addresses:

    1: As CSV:

    # plesk db -Ne "SELECT ip_address FROM psa.IP_Addresses INTO OUTFILE '/tmp/ip_addresses.csv' FIELDS TERMINATED BY ',' ENCLOSED BY '\"' LINES TERMINATED BY '\n';"

    2: As XML:

    # plesk bin ipmanage -xi

3: As a formatted text list:

    # plesk bin ipmanage -l

  6. [Gitman] Auto-deploy multiple branches on multiples paths

It would be great if it was possible to add Gitman possibility to deploy "Development" branch on a folder, and "Production" branch on another.
The best would be to deploy the "Production" branch on another server with Plesk.
    Example :
    - Develoment Server with dev.mysite.com
    - Gitman connect through production server, auto-create mysite.com domain and configure this domain exactly like dev (Except error reporting...etc..) and auto dpeloy production branch on it.

  7. Add LuaSandbox (for MediaWiki)

In the early 2010s, to offer better support for logic and faster processing, MediaWiki started supporting Lua through the Scribunto extension. Scribunto has grown out to become a mature, well-maintained and popular solution (it is, for instance, heavily used on Wikipedia, to mention the best known wiki), but those on shared hosting currently have to miss out. Please let the next version of Plesk ship.with LuaSandbox (https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/LuaSandbox, https://pecl.php.net/package/LuaSandbox), the safest way to run Lua code.

LuaSandbox is a PHP extension that is available as a PECL module. Since December 2022 (Plesk Obsidian 18.0.49) you can easily add such PECL extensions to PHP from within Plesk. You can manage PHP extensions in your "admin" account in Tools & Settings > PHP Settings > choose the desired handler > Manage PECL Packages.

  8. Plesk API: Allow displaying / using of [last login] & [number of failed login attempts since last successful login]

When it comes to e-mail accounts the API can only be used for getting the quota.
Please consider implementing ways of getting time of last successful login + failed login attempts since last successful login.

  9. Highlight Whitelist contact in the inbox.

With the new technology in spam emails (one of our user receives over 1,000 spam emails a day), it would be helpful to have whitelist email addresses highlighted in the inbox to easily see what emails are truly not spam. I've turned on the spam filter and set up filters based upon words, but still so many spam emails are getting through.

  10. HTTP verbs management by Plesk on Windows

There is a common need due to Rest API-development to able to switch on / off http verbs for IIS server. Verbs are according to my knowledge configured in the ApplicationHost.config file which cannot be configured via web.config file. So, please consider implementing this in Plesk. Also make this available in Classic Asp settings which also locates in the ApplicationHost.config file. For Classic Asp and also for ASP.net, by default only GET and POST verbs are available.

  11. Kolab - calendar sharing per contact group

It would be more convenient if it would be possible to specify contact groups in Kolab extension when sharing a calendar, instead of sharing it with users one by one.

  12. When subscription on source server is deleted after migration do not remove DNS zone on slave DNS

After a migration the DNS zone for a subscription should not be removed from slave servers configured with Slave DNS Manager extension, if Plesk server is not the master for the zone.

  13. Transferring MySQL databases

It'd be great to have an option to import a MySQL database from an external servers to Plesk. For example, download and import it by the means of the "site import" extension.

Create an option that allows the Web Presence Builder to publish a demo interface in a domain website that allow the customers to try the extension without need to login in Plesk Interface.

  15. Allow local sandbox development Plesk license for online hosting Plesk users

Many hosted server Plesk users like myself like to run a local network hosted server mirror, purely for development purposes.

It would be great if the Plesk licensing was more flexible to allow online dedicated and virtual server hosting customers using Plesk, to download and install one additional copy of Plesk on their local development server to create a locally hosted mirror server development environment.

Whether this be done freely using the same license key for a 1+1 restricted approach (ie cannot have multiple users and cannot be hosted online), else perhaps a reasonable annual fee, rather…

  16. Add a snapshot of the current processes list to existing CPU / memory usage exceeded emails

The Monitoring extension already triggers email notifications when resource usage exceeds the allocations, but if usage has already settled before you notice these emails and click through to the server, it's difficult to find which domain was the cause.

Adding a snapshot of the current processes list to these emails when it's the CPU or memory usage thresholds that have been exceeded would be very useful. Potentially just the "Domains only" filtered list would suffice. Maybe trimmed to the top 50 or so processes ordered by CPU or memory, whichever is appropriate at the time.

  17. Publish an ideal Server Tuning/Configuration Table so Users can get an best fit starter for different ranges of processor levels or usage

You should have a guide for ideal server configurations and settings which Users can adopt easily.

So if a server has 3 CPUs and 4Gigs of RAM and is running Wordpress sites of 2 Gigs

The recommended server settings are xxxx.....

Presently these settings are on forums and there area a gazillion contradictory advice.

Parallels is ideally placed to establish such guides in the context of the server management environment.

  18. Service Plans: add possibility to select several backup options.

In Service Plans, under "Additional Services", add the possibility to select several backup options, such as:

    • Acronis Backup in case that Extension is active, just like for WP Toolkit and Let's Encrypt. If not selected, the service would not be accessible to the Customers having a Subscription with that Service Plan, while the content of these Subscriptions would still be backed up by Acronis.
    • The options to backup to clouds, such as Google Drive, OneDrive, Amazon S3 in Plesk 17.8.

This would help to better differentiate between different Service Plans on the same Plesk server.

  19. Enable "Compatible With" field in Worpress Theme and Plugin

This is an important update without which you can not guarantee the installation of themes and plugins in compatible versions, causing rework.
Each version of a plugin or theme is compatible with a range of versions of Wordpress and other plugins that are used together to provide the features declared by the developer of a given plugin or theme.
At a first moment you can add the fields below in the "Upload Pugin" or "Upload Theme" screen:
    Wordpress Minimum Version
    Wordpress Maximum Version
These values can be used in the "Install Wordpress" screen to validate the versions being used…

  20. keep up with .Net core and install Node.Js on Windows

I have Godday and they are saying They are limited by Plesk on what frameworks are available. The version that Godaddy is offering is stuck on out-of-date .net core frameworks that are no longer supported by Microsoft. the most recent I can run is .net core 2.0 for crying out loud 5 is already out and 6 is only a few months away.
Also ??? why ??? no Node.JS options available on windows? I'm a .net developer and most on the site are portfolio sites or small sites that I really could use the most recent .Net framework and…
