  1. Allow Plesk to use a clustered MySQL Server (Galera)

According to a ticket I just opened (80693) Plesk currently doesn't support a clustered MySQL server, e.g. an active/active Galera cluster.
To avoid data-loss or corruption in a server crash, I'd like to run MySQL in a Galera cluster to automatically sync the data again once Plesk's MySQL started after a crash.

This functionality is now available in the latest Plesk Obsidian 18.0.49 ("Added the ability to run Plesk with a centralized database"). The feature is currently in Beta. We encourage you to check the implementation and let us know what you think. All required information could be found in Plesk Documentation by the link https://docs.plesk.com/en-US/obsidian/deployment-guide/plesk-for-linux-plesk-installation-without-the-local-database.79703/

We would appreciate hearing your feedback on the implementation of this functionality. Thanks in advance!

  3. Generate a deploy key per repo in the Git extension

Currently, the Git extension only generates one deploy key per Plesk user (according to @PleskHelps on Twitter). Unfortunately, GitHub doesn't allow a deploy key to be used more than one time across ALL repos, meaning every single GitHub repo requires a unique deploy key. As a result, I can clone only one of the 40 some repos I would like to on my Plesk installation.

I would like to suggest the option to have a unique deploy key generated for every single repo you want to clone. That would make the Git extension infinitely more useful for me and many…

  4. Implement DNS Certification Authority Authorization (CAA) resource record

Certification Authority Authorization (CAA), defined in RFC 6844, is a standard that allows domain name owners to control which CAs are allowed to issue certificates for their properties.

ssllabs.com has implemented the detection for this record when checking for the SSL grade they give. To prevent getting graded down and use state of the art techniques for ssl security I would usggest to allow adding those nameserver record.

  5. Git webspace

At the moment it's only possible to configure FTP-Access to webspaces in Plesk. I would like to have webspaces I can fill via git (pull, clone etc.) and configure it via Plesk.

  6. Allow SFTP for Personal FTP Repository

It's good that FTPS is now supported for the Personal FTP Backup Repository. But it would be even better if Backups could be transferred to another server via SSH/SFTP instead of just FTPS, for a completely encrypted connection and data transfer.

  8. Add SRS - Sender Rewriting Scheme to Linux

SRS is available in Windows on external mail servers, but it isn't available in any mail server in Linux. More and more domains have SPF and more and more mail servers reject e-mails that don't pass SPF check.

So please add support for SRS in Linux.

  9. Multiple users for the Git extension

It would be great if it would be possible to create multiple users which can use the Git repository. Today only one user can access the Git repository. It is the admin user which was created during the creation of the subdomain. New created Web Users for the subdomain can not access the Git repository. It is a feature which I am missing because I wanted to host a private Git repository for our small private team.

Great news! In the Git Extension 2.4.0, published January 26th, 2023, this feature became available:

Previously, only the system user had access to all repositories  in a subscription, but now Plesk added the ability to select users who can access a local repository via HTTP/HTTPS.

You can now select additional users when creating a  local repository or changing the settings of an existing one. These  users can pull and push to a local repository via HTTP/HTTPS using their credentials.

    P.S.
If you are not interested in preview and only interested in production release day, you would need to watch Parallels announcements at (http://www.parallels.com/about/subscribe/). The ones who decided to attend Parallels Summit 2014 (http://www.parallels.com/summit/2014/) will probably know the dates sooner than others and also will have a chance for more insight and talk to us directly with your questions and suggestions.

  11. Have an option to deliver email addressed to VERP-style email addresses.

Postfix already has the option, but it doesn't seem to be supported on Plesk.

I want to use VERP so I can automatically process bounce messages with a script. I send out bulk email with a return-path like bounces+uid-john=example.com@ourdomain.com and I want the bounces to be delivered to bounces@ourdomain.com

Postfix has the configuration parameter recipientdelimiter. If I set that in /etc/postfix/main.cf, the server accepts the email and passes it to pleskvirtual. But then it is silently discarded instead of being delivered to the bounces mailbox.

The only way I see with the current set up to deliver…

  12. Support MySQL 8

I would like to see support for the upcoming MySQL 8.
Currently there is no support inside plesk and using a possible workaround with docker isn't possible out of the box.

MySQL Community Server 8.0.4 is already a Release Candidate.

  13. change password next login

Ask user to change password at next login screen after reset.
We the providers could generate a temp password (customer asks for a reset), and after the first login screen, plesk will force ask from the client to change our temp password.

  16. Easy removal X-Powered-By HTTP headers

By default the HTTP header 'x-powered-by: PleskLin' is added to HTTP responses.
And with PHP, even the version number is included: 'x-powered-by: PHP/7.3.5'

For security it is better to not give such information, as it may expose you are using outdated software with known vulnerabilities.
Currently it is possible to remove these headers, but it requires some manual actions using SSH (https://support.plesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000385274)

My suggestion is to create page to be able to manage such header additions for all websites and services.

  17. Direct or faster access to phpMyAdmin

Currently it's too difficult to login to the phpMyAdmin interface. Users have to login in on plesk, choose their domain (if they have more than one), go to website & domains, select the databse page, then select the database they want to use and now they can finally open the webadmin. Too much steps! And if the session ran out, you have to do all these steps again.

The fasted way would be to allow that users can open the phpMyAdmin URL without loggin in to Plesk and only use their credetials for the database. I could understand if that…

  19. WordPress Toolkit: Reseller Plans to use individual sets

A a reseller I would like to be able to create my own specific plug-in 'sets' for my WordPress customers. Normally this should be done at this level, not by the 'top level' administrator.

Once upon a time we have released sets for resellers in WPT v5.2 a couple of minutes ago.

We’ve also managed to ensure that resellers can automatically provision WordPress with one of their sets when a new subscription is created.

Let us know on our forum if you have any feedback.
