Available since Plesk Obsidian RC3. Windows: modern version of MailEnable required (shipped with Plesk), Linux: modern versions of Postfix (shipped with Plesk) and Dovecot (shipped by most OS vendors) required.

    Please read the docs: https://docs.plesk.com/en-US/obsidian/customer-guide/websites-and-domains/securing-connections-with-ssltls-certificates/protecting-webmail-and-mail-with-ssltls-certificates.76531/

  2. Add management of webmail SSL certificates

I would like to propose the management of SSL certificates for webmail in plesk panel.
Now, unless you use a wildcard certificate, you cannot secure your webmail with a valid SSL certificate.
Please make the SSL certificate used for webmail.<domain> .
Please also add a configurable central url for webmail, with SSL support, and add a redirect option to that url for webmail.<domain>
E.G. visitors for http://webmail.<customerdomain> will be redirected to https://<configuredwebmailurl>

  3. Set a senders email address for Plesk notifications

I am sending mails from an external server, my Plesk Servers do not even have mail setup. Plesk offers the option to send notification mails (like backup errors,...) using an external SMTP server, but all mails get sent using the mail address
    root@servername.domain.tld

My SMTP server does not have this mail address or even domain setup. I would like to set a custom email address for Plesk to send mails from in order to not have to set up a domain and mail address for every Plesk server.

  5. add the free Clef service for simple, strong multifactor panel authentication without passwords

Plesk Panel 11 is wonderful. But it could be even more wonderful if included strong, multifactor authentication.

Clef’s (http://getclef.com) strong MFA is free, super easy to use, and provides next-gen authentication security without passwords.

Plesk Panel + Clef would make a dynamic duo!

  6. fail2ban now supports IPv6 - please upgrade

At some time you closed the request "fail2ban for IPv6" stating that fail2ban does not support it. That was no doubt correct at the time - but now it does, see https://github.com/fail2ban/fail2ban/tree/0.10

I'm seeing a lot of warnings in the fail2ban log on my dual stack servers, like this:

66:1000:b01c:10ab:0:1: [Errno -9] Address family for hostname not supported

and my log checking software is complaining to me about the overly long fail2ban log.

    See also: https://ctrl.blog/entry/fail2ban-ipv6

    Thanks! Tim.

  8. Support full DNS for CloudFlare ServerShield

Currently CloudFlare ServerShield is implemented using partial (CNAME) setup. What is the point in a partial setup when you can benefit from full DNS? You get anycast DNS with CloudFlare on full DNS.

The DNS Integration for Cloudflare  extension is production-ready since Plesk 18.0.56, published October 10th, 2023. Empower your experience with simplified DNS synchronization, enhanced  website security, effortless subdomain creation, and smoother workflows. Use Cloudflare CDN, which distributes content around the world to speed up websites.

    • Connect your existing Cloudflare account to Plesk.
    • Import DNS records from Cloudflare to Plesk.
    • Export DNS records from Plesk to Cloudflare (both manually and automatically).
    • Enable/disable Proxy Mode.

This update completes the work on the new Plesk DNS Integration for Cloudflare extension. Please comment if you have additional thoughts on it.

  9. Ability to change favicon.ico for Plesk on permanent basis

At this moment you can change favicon.ico by replacing /usr/local/psa/admin/htdocs/favicon.ico, however it will be replaced on Plesk update.

It is also not possible to make it permanent using custom theme from Plesk branding guide.

Please make a way to customize favicon.ico on permanent basis

  10. Set end date on autoreply

It would be useful to be able to configure auto replies so that they end automatically on a specific date.

For instance, I am going on holiday for a week and would like the auto reply to automatically turn off when I return.

I think the upcoming 12.5 release shall solve your problem:
    1) you will have option of Import/Export database alone in “Databases”
    2) when doing new incremental backup, if no files were modified, then only database will be backed up

    UPD:

This functionality is now available in Plesk 12.5. Please visit the following forum threads to learn how to install Plesk 12.5:

    Linux:

    Windows:

We would appreciate hearing your feedback on implementation of this functionality. Thanks!

  14. Possibility to force SSL on Webmail

Some users don't know why they should enter https:// if they have to access webmail, they use http://
http is insecure. Easpecially in combination with unencrypted wireless connections.
Actually you have to go into the plesk code to set this function somewhere. Why does plesk provide the webmail-login insecure by default?
If you have setup an Domain Certificate, at least then plesk should offer the option to force ssl on accessing webmail.mydomain.??

    Hi!

    The functionality is now available:
    1. Linux: in the SSL It! Plesk Extension: https://ext.plesk.com/packages/3c4117f6-c05c-4d3b-9173-60f10096a9c4-sslit
    2. Windows: in Plesk Obsidian (by default if SSL is turned on for the domain)

How to find it in SSL It! Extension:
    1. install SSL It! Extension (it’s available for Plesk 17.8+)
    2. go to > SSL/TLS Certificates
    3. if there is no SSL Certificate installed on the domain – issue one (using, for example, free Let’s Encrypt SSL Certificate)
    4. if an SSL Certificate is installed on the domain, there is a switcher “HTTPHTTPS redirect”, this switcher has an option “Webmail”, turn it on.
    5. Additionally, you can setup HSTS (for webmail too)
    6. Voila!

We would appreciate hearing your feedback on the implementation of this functionality. Thanks in advance!

  15. Compile PHP 7.2 with Argon2

Argon2 is a new feature of PHP 7.2 as stated here: http://php.net/releases/7_2_0.php. It won the password hashing competition and is the recommended hashing algorithm.

It must be enabled my re-compiling PHP 7.2 with --with-password-argon2.

  16. Show reason of deferred message in mail queue

Actually it's possible to show deferred messages headers in : Tools and settings > mail server settings > mail queue

It would be very useful if it's possible to show the reason why the message is deffered or stuck in the queue (/var/spool/postfix/defer).

We are happy to announce that the ability to Track Email Delivery is now available in Log Browser 1.8.0. In the new version, Plesk customers (as well as Plesk administrators) can track email delivery and manage deferred emails right in the domain card (under the "Mail" tab). If an email has been deferred, the reason also be shown.

You can find additional information at https://docs.plesk.com/release-notes/obsidian/change-log/#log-browser-1.8.0.

If you have any feedback on the implementation of this feature, please let us know on the forum: https://talk.plesk.com/threads/your-experience-with-mail-delivery-troubleshooting-in-plesk.373062/

  18. Complete DMARC Support

The DMARC support in Plesk Onyx 17.5.3 ist incomplete. If an incoming email is rejected due to a DMARC fail there is no mailer daemon generated to inform the sender of this email.

Please add this important feature to DMARC support. Otherwise it would not be usable for most customers.

  20. Nginx Cache purge

Please, consider to implement some sort of cache purge functionality available from Plesk web interface, because if cache TTL gets extended to match Site needs, it gets complicated, i.e. need to go over Linux Terminal to purge it. A Wordpress integration would be just super fantastic, but I understand, it is not realistic to wish it.
    Thank you!
