Issue Let's Encrypt Wildcard (and others) certificate without main domain in SAN (use DNS-01 challenge only)
Currently the Let's Encrypt Wildcard requires that main domain would be hosted on the Plesk server, and pass the HTTP-01 challenge as well as DNS-01 for Let's Encrypt.
However for issue the Wildcard Let's encrypt require only DNS-01 challenge.
The HTTP-01 limits the causing the issue since not always the main domain is hosted on the same server as the subdomains.90 votes -

Add XML API operations to manage Backup Password and Scheduled Backup
Some useful functionalities of Backup in Web UI are not available in the XML API. Like configuring Password or Scheduled Backup. Those operations are at server level.

backup-manager / get-secure-backup-settingsWith attributes like :
- use-password-protection : boolean
- password : stringbackup-manager / set-schedule-settings
backup-manager / get-schedule-settingsWith attributes like :
- enable : boolean
- period : 86400 | 604800 |2592000
- hour : integer from 0 to 23
- minute : 0 | 15 | 30 |45
- use-incremental : boolean…24 votesThank you for your input! We will consider this functionality in upcoming releases if it will be popular.

RDNS Setup For Domains
Please Do allow to create RDNS(reverse DNS) records to the users for their mailing severs.
Many other Service providers have easy setup for that like: http://www.rackspace.com/knowledge_center/article/rackspace-cloud-essentials-creating-a-reverse-dns-record
Thanks

Additional information regarding this request:
Please be sure you are an owner of IP-address if you plan to vote this suggestion.
An owner of a block of IP-addresses has ability configure PTR records for IP-addresses in the block. If you rent a server or create a virtual machine in a cloud, you are not an owner of IP-address.
Usually, companies like ISP or Cloud Providers own blocks of IP-addresses. In this case, you need to use Hosting/Cloud Provider Control Panel and set up reverse zone for an IP-address (not in Plesk Panel).

Forced instance prefix for database
I'd like to have the ability to force a database-prefix of up to five characters for the plesk instance (alternative for a specific ext. databaseServer) for both databases and databaseUsers.
I use a MariaDB-cluster for my customers and there are multiple reasons I like to see such a feature:
- For security reasons: I don't like that the internal plesk-admin user has access to all databases - even if they do not belong to the instance domain's / customers. If the server would be hacked and somehow the mysql-admin-password extracted all my customers would be affected. With a prefix (e.g.…10 votesThis functionality is now available in the latest Plesk Obsidian 18.0.49 ("Added the ability to run Plesk with a centralized database"). The feature is currently in Beta. We encourage you to check the implementation and let us know what you think. All required information could be found in Plesk Documentation by the link https://docs.plesk.com/en-US/obsidian/deployment-guide/plesk-for-linux-plesk-installation-without-the-local-database.79703/ ("PLESK_DB_DSN_PREFIX")
We would appreciate hearing your feedback on the implementation of this functionality. Thanks in advance!

Increase the logs available in MailEnable after log rotation
When installing Plesk with MailEnable, by default Plesk removes MailEnable logfiles every 24 hours.
According to this KB (https://support.plesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001102353), this functionality is made in purpose to optimize mail statistics, but this is not acceptable.
Additionally, you are offering the possibility to apply this workaround (https://support.plesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/213397889), but this workaround is not valid for us because we don't want to customize the FTP and HTTP logs location and we have the log files in different disk volumes.
Please, provide the possibility to configure the log rotation settings for MailEnable respecting our hosting company needs.

Ability to store domain mail content in the domain folder
Please add the ability to store domain mail content in the domain folder like in cPanel /home/$user/mail/domain.tld/emailuser/
In this case, it will be possible manually create a backup for website and mail content just by copying /home/$user/ folder and after restore this folder on the destination server.
1 voteCopy-transfer-insert operations on emails are frequently done, but are a flawed and unsafe method to migrate emails as just one single update (e.g. an incoming mail or an edit on either source or target) while the copying process is not yet completed can break indexes and render the target copy useless.
Providing direct access to mail files from a web space account will also have end users experiment with the files directly, which again will cause a high number of support cases with providers who lease webspace to their users.
Instead, please consider using the free "Site Import" extension which includes a "Mail Import" function, too. With that you can very easily and in a perfectly safe way migrate mailboxes between servers without the need to use a separate migration tool.
The request did not become popular anyway, so we must decline it.

When installing extensions, after install, 3rd party repos should remain disabled
When installing extensions on Plesk Obsidian, those sometimes enables 3rd party repos like Epel.
It's also possible that those 3rd party repos have newer versions of system packages that breaks the functionality (for example: the well known non-working AWStats from Epel on Plesk).
It should be able to disable 3rd party repos after the extension install, and re-enable them and limit its usage to the extension update/install only, so no other packages are updated.5 votesThank you for your input! A suggestion to have Sendmail disabled by default
Sendmail is currently enabled by default on new Plesk installations.
While there's an option to disable Sendmail, it might better to have it disabled by default with the option to enable it. This could prevent issues with outgoing spam messages, i.e. if a website has an unsecured contact form or if there's a malicious script.
1 voteThe option depends on what is set on the "Mail" options tab of the service plan that is used for a subscription. You can choose "Not configured" in the service plan to have mail service disabled by default on new subscriptions.
If you want to prevent any outgoing mails from a subscription, including mails sent by scripts, you can set the "Outgoing mail" preset to zero on the service plan, too.
Turning mail service off for the whole server in general on a new installation is very likely not what users expect. E-Mail is one major usage of a server.

Provide ability to disable mail update notification for modsecurity
Provide ability to disable mail update notification for modsecurity rules.
1 voteThis request was declined, because it was based on a misunderstanding. ModSecurity does not send update notifications. The notifications meant were notifications by an operating system function, which cannot be influenced by Plesk.
