  2. Set the root directory to INBOX in mail autodiscover for Outlook

By default, the Mail Audodiscover function does not set the Root folder path to "INBOX" in Outlook, which results in an odd directory structure:

    Inbox
    Drafts
    Sent
    Trash
    Spam
    Outbox

Please provide a way to configure this without having to manually edit the mail server configuration files.

Autodiscover for iOS and Android has been available for a long while. Please see https://support.plesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360015529259 for details. It can be turned on in "E-Mail Settings" of a domain. Please see https://support.plesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360009747280 for more on that.

When autodiscover is switched on, the (i) icon in the rightmost column of the mailbox list includes additional assistance for mail configuration on different operating systems and applications, such as a QR code for iOS devices.

Please let us know in the comments if you are missing anything from these functions.

  5. Fully Customizable Autodiscover Settings

Could you please allow some (or all) of the new Obsidian Autodiscover settings to be customizable at a Subscription or Domain level? Here is a list of things we need:

    1) Specify POP or IMAP or BOTH incoming server types.
    2) Specify custom domain prefixes for incoming and outgoing servers. (ie: mail.domain.ext or smtp.domain.ext or etc, etc...)
    3) Specify custom port numbers for both incoming and outgoing servers. (so we may specify exactly what kind of security is enabled or not)
    4) Any other settings that can be customized but are of lesser importance.

Please, if you are concerned, allow…

  6. Setup hostname for mail autodiscover per domain

You should add a simple option to specify mail server hostname when autodiscover is enabled on domain level...

    example:
    main.domain -> Web
mail.main.domain ->Mail server (this one should be in autodiscover xml response for incoming/outgoing hostname )

  7. Autodiscover for the latest Outlook version 2019 and O365

Mail autodiscover in Plesk Obsidian does not support the latest Outlook version 2019 and O365.
Developing support to Microsoft proxy servers for autodiscover requests is required.

  8. Mail autodiscover with "no hosting" subscription

Mail autodiscover doesn't seems to work, when a subscription hasn't got a hosting! For example when a subscription only uses email but no website hosting.

    Please fix this.

  9. Deploy Tomcat application as ROOT contexto.

Now you can deploy a java application as any context (/foo, /foo2, ...) but it would be perfect to allow the deploy as ROOT (/).

  10. crontab: don't create dir "/var/www/vhosts/chroot/*" in document root of the subscription (Plesk 12.* onCentOS 7.1)

Plesk (12.0.18 and 12.5) imports the folders from /var/www/vhosts/chroot/* in the document root of the subscription. That looks like this:

If a directory is not within document root of a website, it cannot be  accessed by the web server for that website. No further information was presented, why a web  server password protection is needed for a directory that the webserver  cannot access. We must decline this request.

  12. Add an option to disable reserved mailnames like root, postmaster, anonymous for domains

If the option What to do with mail for non-existent users set to Forward to address (also known as catch-all address) in Domains > example.com > Mail Settings, then email messages to mailboxes below are not being delivered to the forwarding email address:

    anonymous@example.com
    mailer-daemon@example.com
    drweb@example.com
    kluser@example.com
    postmaster@example.com
    root@example.com

Such mailboxes are present in the file /var/spool/postfix/plesk/virtual.db and mapped to be delivered to @localhost.localdomain:

    /usr/sbin/postmap -s /var/spool/postfix/plesk/virtual | grep example.com

    anonymous@example.com anonymous@localhost.localdomain
    mailer-daemon@example.com mailer-daemon@localhost.localdomain
    drweb@example.com drweb@localhost.localdomain
    kluser@example.com kluser@localhost.localdomain
    postmaster@example.com postmaster@localhost.localdomain
    root@example.com root@localhost.localdomain

Please consider to add an option to disable reserved mailnames like root, postmaster, anonymous…

  13. NodeJS (Linux): Change App/Doc Root Folder Warnings

Having for example "Document Root: /httpdocs" and "Application Root: /httpdocs/api" (where the NodeJS files are) actually works, only that the files in /httpdocs take precedence. So accessing for example "domain.com/api" from browser did not work as there's index.html in /httpdocs, but it works when tested with Postman.

So, I think the warning text can be changed accordingly.

I don't know what security implications does running both a website on /httpdocs and API on /httpdocs/api have, though.

  14. Settings for Laravel Toolkit (Laravel root directory)

Hi, we really appreciate the use of Laravel Toolkit but if unfortunately you make a mistake in making the first implementation in the wrong root directory you then have no way to change it.

Please give us the opportunity to change some settings.

  15. Allow change of document root where App is installed

If you try to change a domain document root where an app is installed, you get the error: It is impossible to change document root because there are web applications installed on this website.

This is inflexible. If I create a staging development subdomain and install an App, and then point the main domain to the same directory, I can't remove the subdomain, even though the app is no longer used there:

    • dev.mydomain.com, Document root: /mydomain.com
    • www.mydomain.com, Document root: /mydomain.com

I should be able to change the development subdomain root, even though the app was installed…

Hello. If you can remove a directory in Plesk, then you can create it back by the same means you removed it – FTP, SSH or File Manager.

If you experience any difficulty with it, you need to ask assistance of your server admin / hoster.

  20. Allow customers to change Document root with out allowing them to manage the domain name

Service plans should be more granular, it should be possible to allow the customer to change the Document root without allowing them to manage the domain name, etc.

Basically the objective would be to have split the "Domains management" permission.
